Hoffman never played tackle and never was a swing tackle option. He's a replacement level player at center and guard. Bass is no better and no worse.

I agree with the first statement but from what I've seen Bass is stronger and can play RG, C and he's getting practice reps at LG. Do you think Hoffman can do that in the league?

I honestly don’t believe Hoff to be a long term starter. Love the dog in him though. I wouldn’t have been upset if they had kept him.

What about him? He's just won the UFL with Louisville, and he's a decent center. Might be a good replacement. Also, for some strange reason, we tend to be good with UFL players.

Yeah, but my point was we saw Hoffman play guard and center and you know what position flex is more important they're going to pay a guy about the same, why wouldn't you want the one that plays two positions equally well, may not high starter level, but we saw HOFF do it.
