Jerry trusted his team with a guy who didn't even have coordinator experience, and kept him for a decade that accomplished nothing.

He’s just built his first defensive coaching staff. Would he want to leave all of these men who have signed on to work with him after one year? I would doubt it.

The same for the players. Would he want to leave them after a single season? Again, I doubt it.

Yeah it would be tempting to stay here, except for the money factor.
Teams could keep some of these oc's dc's but they are too cheap to pay them HC salary.
 
I will say also that being a above avg HC requires more skills and brains , than just being oc or dc.
That is why so many HC fail.

Is it presumptuous to say Parker could be a head coach as early as 2027? Potentially, but his career arc doesn’t make it outright implausible.

Parker will get his first opportunity as a defensive coordinator with the Cowboys this season, looking to rebuild a group that ranked dead last in EPA per play and which surrendered the fifth-most explosive plays. What makes Parker highly appealing is his secondary background in Philadelphia and Denver, molding elite defensive backs like Pat Surtain II, Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell and McMillian.

The “4th new coordinator in five years” in meaningless. Sam Darnold is on his fifth new coordinator in five years. What do Darnold and Hurts have in common?

Well on the offensive side of the ball you have a Junior Adams the current WR coach who had Lamb Pickens and Fluornoy perform at a high level in 25 , he comes out of Oregon and the high flying Ducks program . Not a bad candidate for in house promotion to OC should Klayton Adams fly the coop next season .

On the defensive side of the ball Derrick Ansley is set to take over the revamped secondary and should CP get a HC offer in 27 if the secondary performs the way it could with nice off season additions Ansley briefly served in 23 as Chargers DC when people were let go during the season . Experience and another secondary coach , Ansley an in house possibility to replace CP next season .

This seems like a solid staff top to bottom now it’s time to Win !!

He is on an ascending path and will be a HC someday soon.

That isn't CZ nonsense just the way it is.

You keep saying that but you don't know that to be true any more than anyone else. At least not until you see the games being played and see how things pan out. He might flourish and do well, but he also might end up being no different than Flus or Mike Nolan. You have your opinions, nothing more.

I can appreciate the optimism, but blind optimism without having yet seen the product on the field? That's nuts.

I absolutely believe its CZ nonsense. It's crazy talk - talk like trying to put Caleb Downs down as an all-pro or future hall of famer when he hasn't even played his first professional snap. There were more than a few people in media circles who were pumping up Ryan Leaf out of college. How did that work out for him again? He's a convicted felon now...

What's my point? It's simple - pump the brakes and see how things develop first. Like I said, CP could flourish or he could flop, but no one, you included, knows right now which way that ball is going to roll until the games start.

when the whole subject matter was started by PFF article.
By the way I have not seen one poster say he's ready to be a head coach today or before training camp as you claim.
