See...money wasn't the issue with Jerry. It's the years on the contract. And Dak wanted to keep this crap up....but instead of blaming the person whose behavior belies their claim...you insult me and attack others.

Ultimately Roger and Troy are 1-2, although some may disagree on the order. Meredith, White, Tony and Dak are the candidates for the next 4 spots and I think a reasonable argument can be made for any order you put them in.

I put Danny at the top of "the rest" but your point stands. For me, the other 4 are judged by:

Playoffs - Danny White
NFC East dominance - Dak...so far. That's about to change tho...just like it did for McNabb in his later years.
Moxy - Romo
Meredith - before my time, but grits and smarts.

So Jerry didn’t structure the deal. Dak made the contract and signed it and paid himself out of Jerry’s bank account all on his own. Okay if that’s what you believe.

This exchange I'm butting in to started here with your response to a poster suggesting Dak is held to a higher standard because of how much he is paid. You replied with this.

When the convo turned to even more specifically call out Dak for fighting for every single cent he could get while also setting himself up for the quickest possible next bite at the apple you replied with this.

You did include a couple one liners about how you believe Dak is paid too much, but the vast majority of your statements come across as heavily pro Prescott. This is what makes it hard to take your self-professed 'middle ground' declarations seriously.

A true middle ground approach would have no trouble recognizing that multiple things can be true. So while you are right that Jerry had the ability to not write that check and that decision falls on him, it is also just as true that Prescott turned down four very legitimate and fair offers in order to squeeze every single last penny out of Jerry.

Bottom line is it is very fair to claim Jerry was an idiot for giving Dak the big contracts AND Prescott was selfish and greedy in his negotiations, AND Prescott gaslit the fans with his comments about not playing for the money.

All of that is true but you are only arguing in favor of the first one and against the other two.

At least that's the way it comes across.

Not sure why some get into heated debates over this. Dak's book isn't written yet. Still has a chance to possibly lead the team deep. Maybe he makes a CC/SB game or maybe he doesn't.
But 3-6 aren't set in stone cause.

You are absolutely correct that I’m arguing one issue. I don’t not feel like mentioning something we all already know. Was he selfish? Yes. Did Dak gaslight the fans? Yes, but I don’t care since I don’t listen to what teams, players, or media say anymore. So I’m arguing the one issue that we don’t seem to agree on. Maybe not you, but OG is acting like Dak stole Jerry’s money. You want to have a convo about Dak’s other issues, that’s fine but it will be short since we agree. I hope this helps you understand where I’m coming from as your initial impression was dead wrong.

I also think your assumptions are based on your years on the forum and me being new. There are many here who live in the extremes and are the most vocal. I am no where near either side and if you take my comments at face value, I think you will understand me better.
