yeah. I watched a little bit of the body cam video before i posted link. I was thinking he didnt seem bad...but of course i defer to the fantastic jury assembled here at CZ.

Yeah none of that is a good look especially being handcuffed.

I mean if your CBS and there's a video of your lead analyst being handcuffed and told they found shooters in his backpack.

That definitely puts a pretty big elephant in the room to deal with not much way to put a positive spin on it

For sure there was no preferential treatment there looks like they did everything they could to make it look way worse than it was.

I mean he may have been over the legal limit

But he certainly wasn't totally smashed or slurring his words

I don't understand if the first time isn't considered a criminal act why was he arrested in handcuffed I thought that type of treatment was reserved for true criminals

That's what I was thinking. Seemed like not a lot to be putting cuffs on a guy but if you do smell alcohol, let him go his way and he kills people and/or himself, then the cops are in trouble. Just not a good thing overall that puts everyone in a bind.

If he were heavily-cologned, would they smell that? If yes, then they'd smell the alcohol. Don't know if he had his window rolled up but if he had to roll it down to talk to her then it would all escape and anyone nearby would smell it.

He doesn’t look intoxicated. Speech is not slurred. No problems walking.

He was smart to record everything with his phone.

Alcohol is strong. That’s probably the most tame video of someone intoxicated I think I’ve ever seen. I wonder why he denied taking a test?

Yeah, this is definitely cops taking it to the extreme. There was nothing initially that appears like he isn't in control of his faculties. The test results don't look bad especially for some with back injuries. Bet he gets off. Not sure if Wisonsin is a state that you automatically get your license suspended if you don't blow. He was respectful and tried to follow all her instructions.

That's fine, but from an officer's perspective, any refusal of a test ( alcohol or drug ) when they see probable cause is going to get you arrested......plain and simple and it should IMO. They can't take a chance allowing someone to continue driving if some physical evidence suggests that he/sh is impaired, especially if they are refusing to take a test to prove their innocence.

This is barely a story. CBS will let Romo keep his job as an analyst and the worst Wisconsin will do is ask for is autography and say don't do it again.
