Jordyn Brooks

10 years back or so I think GM Gettleman of the Giants traded Beckham right after signing/giving him a bunch of money.
Maybe that’s how it went, but he was a misfit, not a Pro-Bowl LB. Why sign him then eat the cap penalty unless they are trying to bug draft picks, which means they want a lot more than Dallas is going to pay.

Say what you want but he’s as plugged in as anyone out there.
Please say this again, this lies the real jealousy fans have on here that he's doing his job and he's connected! On his worst day he knows more than they would ever know!!!

I looked it up and saw the Giants signed him in August but traded him to Cleveland in March. So I guess he played in the season he signed.

BUT with the Dolphins just signing Brooks and now the talks of him being traded not to even play this season for the Dolphins would be unprecedented I think.

Well, that would be weird

They jsut gave him a big fat new deal a week ago and trading him would incur a $20m dead money hit.

He just got an extension and bonus. Why would Miami trade him, if they paid him a bonus, would accelerate into this year and money that won't come back to them.

Broddua is an idiot sometimes
$20 million cap hit. Can the Cowboys deal their “other” first? Because for a $20 million hit the Dolphins will want to be buying more than a second rounder.

Yes, they can deal if as long as it specifies it’s the lowest of the two picks since the Jets get the better one

Miami is now set to pay Brooks $6 million. He has a dead cap hit of $34 million. Now, whoever traded him would assume some of that dead cap money, but still, Miami gave him a $12 million signing bonus and $3-plus million restructure bonus that would accelerate onto its cap.

It only made sense to trade Brooks before the new contract agreement

He just signed an extension. Fins are stuck with a 12 mill cap hit for his signing bonus if they trade him.

Not going to happen.

Pay attention. It will keep you from falling for dumb clickbait
