I don't think you'd be able to suspend him for more than a year, but he absolutely should be.

If it's true that he asked Toronto and the Lakers to add similar things to his contract, while he was a free agent... then he was way more complicit that a guy who didn't turn down free money.

The GM should be relieved of their duties, and banned from the league

And Balmer should be forced to sell the team. Way too blatant circumvention of the rules.

Taking draft picks and cap space, only punish the fans. Punish the people involved instead

Any move at this point would disrupt the chemistry. Spurs have it made. Just pull an OKC and line up some depth. (like their first round pick big man!) The first year with their new young squad, made it to the NBA Finals. Next move will be when Harper and Castle want new contracts and team can't afford Fox. Fox gets a bad rap for the Playoffs, but dude was obviously hurt and limping through most of it. Devin played so well the talk about a new wing man has gone silent. I would like a better option than Kornet when Wemby isn't out there, but I also think Kornet made the most of his minutes.

Good post! The Spurs are in a good place in terms of team chemistry. No need to do much tweaking with their talented young core other than to continue their development. Depth and injury is always a concern.

I do think they need to upgrade the backup center position. Kornet is a decent backup but they need better IMO.

Their top draft choice could be the answer depending on his growth.
If not maybe they can trade for another rugged vet.

I say this because it seemed whenever the "Alien" needed a breather the opposing team would make a run. I saw this on a regular basis during their run.


One concern I have with the Spurs taking that next step is their young head coach.

I feel like he made some questionable decisions during the finals (game plan and roster)


I don't believe they need an upgrade at this point. Just something to keep an eye on moving forward.


Hopefully he can continue to grow along with the team.
