Dak has a chance to break into the Top 4

Well seeing as how he’s been in the top 10 of every list made by NFL personnel this summer, I have to question your IQ.
I have to question the IQ of posters that think being in the top whatever means anything. The top of something in this sport is leading the team to a SB, that is my IQ, the rest is just sissy fluff.

In this forum there is no middle ground. Dak is either the best or the worst.

If fans would just accept the fact he is what he is- a top seven to 12 QB that can win a lot of games if the team around him is playing well- then a lot of these arguments could be avoided.

Dak needs to be better in the postseason. But so does the rest of the team. At this point fans either want to lay all the blame at his feet or call him the best QB that ever played for this team. Neither is true. But there is no happy medium here.
There IS a middle ground. But they usually get curb stomped by the fringes so that it becomes unberable to even explain it.

You can;t criticize Dak at all becuase the defense is so bad. If you do criticze Dak you have to go through every other issue first, every single time.

"man Dak had a BAD throw there"
"but the defense is bad, what;s wrong with you, HATER!"

I've been labled a "hater", and when I ask for examples it's "you know you do" and (get this) "you use code".

Cowboyszone.

So here's how I see things:

Tier 1 is currently agreed upon mostly as Mahomes, Allen, Stafford, and Burrow. It's hard for Dak to dent the positions that Mahomes, Allen, and Stafford hold. All 3 have MVPs and 2 out of 3 has a Super Bowl. The only one of those without a Super Bowl has been in the playoffs for 7 straight years.

However, if Dak has a banner year (upwards 39+++ Touchdowns) - and if some of his counterparts have a bad year, spot #4 is not totally firm. It can move around fast, and Dak is a threat to take it.

Right now Dak is in Tier 2...... #5-8 with Lamar, Goff, and Herbert. Guys who are very good at what they do but not consistently so. And they go on and off with making the playoffs. Sometimes they do sometimes they don't. Only 10 playoff wins combined among the 4 for an average of 2.5 playoff wins per each of those QBs.
Not sure if you noticed...but you created yet ANOTHER Dak thread.

That’s elementary level analysis. If that’s where your football understanding exists then that’s your right.

Top 10 starting QB playoff win totals:

1) Moahomes 17
2) Josh Allen 8
3) Matthew Stafford 7
4) Jalen Hurts 7
5) Brock Purdy 5
6) Joe Burrow 5
7) Jared Goff 4
8-11) Several tied at 3

As usual, when it really counts, Dak isn't top 10.

Those are team stats. Another person who doesnt understand football

Then you have the super fast processors like Stafford and Burrow. Dak just doesn't have it to be in those groups.
He’s obviously not mobile anymore

The comment about “super fast processors” needs to be further defined

If you’re talking about pe-snap reads, audibles at the line of scrimmage and using thr cadence, he’s elite. Several all-time great QBs have talked about this repeatedly. Burrow is the only one of the four QBs named that is at Dak’s level in this regard.

Stafford and Burrow are great post snap. Stafford becuse of his golden arm and ability to find a second receiver and burrow because of his quick reactions and ability to get the ball out quickly and accurately when all hell breaks loose.

Honestly, if Burrow were more mobile and had great health, he’d be the clear #1 in the entire league. He’s equal to or better than every other QB at everything else

Agree. Good post. Dak is very good pre snap. One of the best. After the snap, he doesn't recognize a disguised defense nor go through his reads as fast as a guy like Burrow or Stafford. Agree about Burrow being ridiculous. Him being on the Bengals and his health hides just how good he is.

Yet if Dak was on that list at #6 or better it would become an individual stat, right?

Each and every Dak Stan on CZ uses the same ploy when throwing out the 'team stat' nonsense. Anything favorable to Dak is always considered a Dak stat. But anything unfavorable always becomes a team stat.

Winners like Tom Brady, Troy have a number next to Super Bowl titles..

Losers have team stats.

Superbowl titles are team accomplishments.

Are you saying that any quarterback who hasn't been part of a team winning Superbowls are losers? Im not assuming, im just asking.

If Dak was number one on that list, those would still be team stats. No one player can solely claim wins in a team game that consists of 53 men with 22 of them starting.

Now if this was boxing or golf, you'd be cooking with grease.

Do you think Raven fans are stoked that Llamar won MVPs or would they prefer another SB? Yet, Cowboys fans are supposed to be ecstatic about Dak ranking in the top 4.......PATHETIC. Win the 6th.
