The new defense can tackle

A Cowboys team that would tackle and do so aggressively, not chase-tackle.

Really good start to the preseason.

On the local CBS pregame show. Or maybe it was on Special Edition.. One of the guys said, I think it was Nate Newton said if the defenses improves to a top 12, or plays like a top 12 going into the playoffs. They can do something in the playoffs.

But they must be a top team in some category.

Like getting turnovers, sacks, pressures, and a top tackling team, run or pass defenses. Be the best in one of those areas.

They looked like a competent team, even on defense. Preseason and second teamers for us have looked like clown shows for years. This group actually looked like a football team.

Our backup LBs are better this year than our starters were last season.

It’s undeniable how much better this group is being coached. And how much better Parker and staff are than Eberflush and that train wreck.
