The new defense can tackle

It starts with our fits and communication. Last year we loss a lot on alignment and pre and post snap adjustments

It is preseason, it means nothing, let's see how the defense does when the season starts
Disagree. Teams that are prepared well in the preseason will be prepared well in the regular season.

When backups play well that’s a good sign the team is prepared well. Winning doesn’t matter, but knowing assignments does.

That was the biggest thing I stated all off-season I wanted to see from this new defense.

A Cowboys team that would tackle and do so aggressively, not chase-tackle.

Really good start to the preseason.
On the local CBS pregame show. Or maybe it was on Special Edition.. One of the guys said, I think it was Nate Newton said if the defenses improves to a top 12, or plays like a top 12 going into the playoffs. They can do something in the playoffs.

But they must be a top team in some category.

Like getting turnovers, sacks, pressures, and a top tackling team, run or pass defenses. Be the best in one of those areas.
Which all lowers pints per game of course..

You play like you practice ..... Jimmy Johnson ......

They looked like a competent team, even on defense. Preseason and second teamers for us have looked like clown shows for years. This group actually looked like a football team.
