Told you Cowboybish Milton will be a starter, and hopefully for the Pokes. qb rating over 151 last night 2 te passes and a td run. He man is a baller with unusual talents throwing and running. Now that there is a coaching staff in place, the sky is the limit. You all wrong about Shelton also. He will be a long term starter as well. Go Pokes!

I'd like to see Milton get all the snaps Friday night. He needs all he can get to continue his progression. I would also like to see Schotty and Adams challenge him to make every throw not just the safe ones. Last night was impressive. He has more upside/athletic ability than Howell. Just keep it going!

Howell has started many games in the NFL and the Cowboys know what he can/can't do at this point. So far I've been disappointed in his play. Being just ok isn't what I was expecting from an experienced vet with 18 starts.

Milton was really good. He was the only player that Cardinal broadcast announced that played for Dallas. I don't know who was in the game on defense. I hope the next game is a dallas broadcast.

I get Doug Williams vibes big-time watching him. Same arm, awareness, and wheels. Now he's got the accuracy. He's dangerous. Could he replace Dak at some point?
I want to say yes but....the big issue is do you eat $72m in dead cap space to release/trade Dak after 2027 in order to pay Milton?

Daks contract makes it very difficult to replace him unless the Cowboys are very committed to doing so.

At least two more seasons of paying Dak mega $$$

I'm saying, when or if he gets hurt(he's 33), can Joe win and never relinquish the job? That's how this will go down I think. Same way Dak got the job.

Yeah, it's a little premature for the I told you so's on Milton.

If you were to trace his whole draft and development journey I think you would come to a more reasonable conclusion that "It's good to see Milton FINALLY resembling an NFL backup."

And leave it at that.

That's fair. I'll take it. Far better than anyone thought he'd be.

JM has definitely improved.

Good job QB coach.

If they cut JM, he likely gets picked up by someone else.

Howell is a 1 year rental.
Howell might get cut. Depends what other QB gets cut if they think someone else could be better.

Maybe they only hate Milton because he could become a threat to their hero.... I think it would be quite funny if 2016 repeated itself and Dak was benched in favor of Milton. Epic meltdowns if that were to happen

He looked good in Seattle and even better in Arizona last night. He has definitely progressed.

I respect the fact that he responded to the challenge of open competition by improving his game. Hoping he stays locked in and continues to improve.
