Milton is night and day with his accuracy from last season. Kudos to the coaches.

If he keeps this up we have a huge valuable commodity. We can keep him to be the future QB or trade him for a myriad of picks if he keeps pointing up!

I can’t help but to wonder if Milton could be the starting quarterback of the future?

The team would have to figure out a contract extension with him before Prescott hits free agency and everyone would then know their intentions, but some proactive planning might lessen the pains of a transition.

I really thought Howell would be the backup this year and Milton would be lucky if the Cowboys kept him as QB3.

Whoever has been working with Milton needs to get some recognition in addition to Milton as well because he's really improved.

I'm not saying he will ever be a starter for a team but I feel a lot better about him as the QB2 this year than I did last year.

That said, I'm not ready to write off Howell and wouldn't be opposed to keeping him as QB3, but right now, Milton is winning the QB2 battle.

I thought much the same. I thought Howell would easily win QB2. But after that pick in the endzone, I can see he hasn't changed. He's fine with a nice clean pocket. But reckless when pressured. A DT came in unblocked and he threw it up for grabs. You can't do that.

Last night was pretty much the first time Mingo’s showed up since he’s gotten here. Milton’s improvement is exciting but he’s still got some accuracy issues. He’s still so raw but definitely headed the right direction.

Lets hope they are both headed in that direction. That Mingo trade still makes 0 sense to me but it is what it is.

I really hope Milton can pan out because I had really high hopes for him.

that is why they need to get him on the field. packages for him. anytime a game gets out of hand either way, he needs to go in. perfect opportunity to give him playing time this year so the evaluation process has real information.

maybe i've missed it but i'm surprised no one has brought up just how valuable his legs could be. there were a couple plays he could have ran for big yardage if he needed to. also, pressure came quickly a few times & he avoided it quite easily.

his talents stress defenses. we need to use that.

These kind of players help win football games, it is a fact. Leupke is a thumper out of the I formation with good hands. I want to see more of him in the offense, the kid is a throw back Like Moose Johnston and John Kchune , ( Green Bay) from yesteryear.

I'm fine with a player doing these things .... I just have seen precious little from him to justify his contract & roster spot guarantee. I think other players could help the team more.

Yeah, could be too little too late for Mingo. We won’t know for sure if they’re good or bad for a few games.

I heard this morning that he 26 which means how long can he wait? They paid Lance quite well and he was 3rd string so who knows. The only way I see them doing anything anytime soon with Dak is if he goes down for the year and Milt blows it out.

Milton is a free agent in 2028 and Dak’s deal expires in 2029, so they’d have to do something next year either way.

It's building blocks. It's nice to see the players improving. Hopefully, Mingo can be a contributor for us this season. If he can, that's all the more benefit we are going to have in trying to make a run of it this season. Or, if needed (especially with how loaded we are at WR), maybe we can use him as trade bait to get an extra pick that can be used. Or maybe we can trade him straight up to the Browns for Dawand Jones to play RT. Either way, improving players means more options for them.

Exactly, and it's not a bad thing to point out that the team has improved. It's not a bad thing to point out that players are developing. That's what we should WANT as fans (among other things) lol. Would he rather the players stay terrible?
