Are Cowboys are the best team in the NFC East right now?

There’s no evidence that the Cowboys are better than the Eagles.

False - eagles ended 2025 as the best team and until they are beaten and the cowboys show they have earned it then thats the status....i firmly believe by the quarter point the cowboys will be the top team in the east though

Hopefully they are.

We haven't seen anyone's first team and no one is scheming to win games. We have no idea how the defense is going to perform. The offensive tackles are a pretty big concern.

Its awesome to be a Cowboys fan in July and August but let's temper expectations so that if everything isn't perfect on day 1 that the "sky is falling" crowd doesn't take over.

I’ve watched preseason games of all three teams. Here are my observations of preseason play—keep in mind it’s backup vs backups and future Home Depot employees.

Giants look different and more disciplined than previous years. Granted, I saw them against the Dolphins, a team that might have the worst roster in the league, but they have that Harbaugh style of play. Their secondary depth is not good, and as their starters are in the bottom half of the league, that doesn’t bode well. It looks like they have decent d-line depth but better pray no one on the o-line misses time. We will roll them twice this year.

The entire post this time…

Speaking of o-line, Charlie Kirk might have better protection than Jayden Daniels this year. I doubt he lasts the season. Commies look inept on offense and I have a feeling that 5-12 is coming, with Quinn losing his job. Defensively, they will be the worst in the East. Can’t sugarcoat it, they will be bad. Top five pick could be in their future.

Eagles look to be sorting out the o-line depth, especially with Cam Jurgens health still an issue. His back must be bad, and I wonder if this will be chronic with him. Massive Markel Bell is getting a lot of run at RT, as Johnson has said this is is last year. Andy Dalton looked cooked. Their second round pick at TE can’t block crap. Their first round pick is still injured. They look to have good depth on the o-line and RB. Backup depth at d-line and LB looks solid, and they aren’t afraid to have two players with no football experience out there at the same time. Still figuring out the safeties. Can’t forget they are installing a new offensive system.

Are we the best? We are 100% better than the Giants and Commies. It’s a push with the Eagles.

Interesting coz rumor has it they are the leading landing spot for CB Joey Porter Jr.

It's a fun exercise............the way I see it. Every team starts the season 0-0 and IMO we have added enough additional coaches ( defense ) and talent to close the gap against the Eagles. We stole one of their top assistant coaches ( can only help our offense ) and Hurts finished last season struggling. Reports are that he's still struggling.

Yes, I firmly believe that we are the best NFC East team 'right now'. Serve me crow if I am wrong (LOL).

Eagles have the more talented roster and SB pedigree. Cowboys need to prove they are better!
I don’t think they are more talented across the board. But they are better at several key areas in key positions. RB, OT, pass rush and corner.

I think they are the team the beat. But Stoutland is gone, their OC is a mess, Brown is in New England, Johnson is always hurt.

Their schedule favorable and should easily be 8-1 or 7-2 at the bye.

They are well coached and able to capitalize and overcome mistakes and win dirty with offense or defense. Dallas pretty much needed to score 30 to win last year

Tough call. Eagles have a lot of young talent on their defense and a decent amount on offense but they are just imploding on and off the field. They have a crap culture (does trading one player change your culture?) and even with a great DC, suspect coaching overall (how badly does losing Stoutland hurt them). They are clearly dropping to the pack. They look more talented overall on paper, although they may have just had a draft they regret and our draft looks even better than it did on draft day. Toss up IMO. My gut says there isn't enough talent on offense any longer for the Eagles to overcome Hurts' flaws this year. Hopefully it's us that steps up.
