I just never have understood why this question is offensive as if it's not warranted lol. For instance if someone says they hate this country and they hate living here isn't the natural question to ask why do you live here? Or if someone says they hate fried foods but the eat fried food....isnt' the first thing you wonder is why are you eating fried food?

Kind of contradictory. It's childish and unnecessary to ask someone why they are still a fan but as a fan don't I have a right to ask that?

There’s no avoiding trolling online in social media. Best policy is to ignore. Cause they feed on those responding.

But negative or complainers aren’t all trolling.

I’m not sold anything has really changed . They had some extra draft picks to play with and had a historical bad defense to rebuild .

Jethro has always relied on those around him but in the end he is still final word. Just like with Parsons. He didn’t delegate that.

In 1989 we were a 1-15 team. In 2025 we were a playoff caliber team coming off a non playoff season cause our QB went down.

If you have a playoff caliber team you continue building around it not scrapping your best player or players to rebuild.

That was the year Jerry said he was going all in and did nothing. He spent the whole offseason worrying about contracts which he didn't resolve until right before the season started. That's been Jerry's M.O. for years.

This is a genuine question from someone that has seen this happen time and time again and wants to gauge why this happens here all the time.

Have we as a fanbase, become so used to Jerry and his family failing, that any time he does the BARE MINIMUM of his job description, we praise him for it?

Are we this conditioned by his terrible off-seasons that when he does literally the bare minimum of signing a guy on time or using FA the way everyone else does we celebrate it like we just won our 6th?

Why do fans who are justifiably upset and taking a wait and see approach ostracized so much on this site?

I am excited about the moves that were made, but I am cautiously optimistic mainly because I have 0 faith in the head coach of this team.

Can they prove me wrong, of course, and I will be the first to admit it, but can we stop praising people for showing up to work?

It’s not wrong to be a glass half empty personality/fan.

The issue is many (MANY) here have made it their identity so much so that now being right has become more important than seeing their team win. A lot of posters here actively want Dallas to be bad when they predict them to be bad so they can be right. And once upon a time that was viewed as inappropriate. But because that segment of the fanbase now drives volume in Cowboys message boards it is catered to. Posters here used to be banned when they were so incessantly negative that it detracted from actual football discussion. Now many such posters are some of the most heralded and valued posters here.
