Get a corner that can double as a gunner.
Think it was Belicheck who said you can never have enough quality CBs. While I agree whole-heartedly, you've got to have room on the roster for rookies like Moore to develop. Might need to swap out one of those extra safeties for a quality CB.Why does some (seems like 98%) say they need help at CB?
They have Revel, Durant, Bland (though may are down on him)
Kendrick, though not how sure his TC went. They kept Steard for a reason, after the claimed him from waivers before the season started.
Drafted Moore, but seems he has been up and down. However, put him on the field with the starters. His play would be better. As most players would be.
Will there truly be anyone out there to claim from waivers. They do not have trade capital. And what they do have.
Do you use it on CB, RT, LB (as many think we could still use).
I say go with who you have, other than OT depth.
100%Absolutely no one, lol. Just media talking points for engagement farming. With the league today, the offense has so many advantages, there's no way you can expect to roster a ton of playmakers at defense. You just hope they can stay on the field and hold their weight,
Proves me wrong about what? When did I say he can’t run in between the tackles lol? That’s the problem he’s running into players and he’s not showing his speed.Blue has been running nothing but in between the Tackles, proving he can be used inside if needed, so that proves you wrong already.
My main concern was and is about Dak and his health, which is extremely important to anyone within his occupation as a QB. I'm joining you in that hope, without a doubt. Anyone, especially QBs, are just naturally injury-prone athletes with positions to always be targeted.Dak is now considered an injury prone QB for the 2nd half of his career. The QB2 is very important. I hope we make the right decision.
Mingo is only on a 1 year veteran min deal.Imo we should keep 6 (includes Mingo and Brown), but if we only do 5 then Mingo would be my cut. I know some say Mingo does special teams also, but work it out. Don't cut Brown. I think he possibly could be the next George Pickens.... I know it's early and all that, just an opinion hence the word possibly. This is his floor and he shows this much, Mingo took years just to show what he has. Keep both is what I think they will do.
Schotty is not running plays to help Blue show his speed. Schotty is on purpose making Blue run between the Tackles to see if he can physically handle it, plus excel when able to or make something out of nothing. Or quit and fail. Blue has shown he can run between the Tackles just fine and even excel at times. That is not including the designed plays Schotty will now run for him since Blue has proven he definitely deserves to wear the Star ☆ on his helmet. Sounds like you are going to be disappointed?.Proves me wrong about what? When did I say he can’t run in between the tackles lol? QB2 will be an interesting call.........
Disappointed about what? It’s my opinion Blue is nothing special. If he proves to be good that’s great for the Cowboys. Sounds like you’ll be disappointed when you find out a Malik Davis is number 2 on the depth chart?Schotty is not running plays to help Blue show his speed. I mean if they are only carrying 2 QBs then yeah kind of a big deal who the backup is. If they are carrying 3 then I agree. Doesn’t really matter. For them to carry 3 means they develop Milton and have Howell be backup.I don't understand the stress with QB2. If Dak goes down and we play Howell and he sucks then we'll play Milton. If we play Milton first and he sucks then we'll play Howell. Who cares about the designation if they're "neck and neck". If Dak goes down for a long time play Joe. If Dak goes down for a game or so then play Howell. If all goes well then we won't see either guy. This is getting a lot of talk and I'm more concerned about T and CB.
The only thing that matters is if Howell is QB2 on gameday I hope Joe is emergency QB and not take up a gameday roster spot. Outside of that I'm pretty happy with Howell as a short term sub and Joe as a long term developmental QB. What's exciting to me is we didn't waste our time with Joe because he's improving, unlike Lance who didn't improve. I was a Lance guy but Lance's needle did not move. Joe's has.
And yes I see the irony of me complaining about all the talk about QB2 and then making a long post about QB2. I'm complicated, lol. But I am surprised at how much attention this is getting from the media. But hey, we're the Cowboys.
I agree with you 100% on Mingo....been in the league three years and just caught his first pro TD...meanwhile Brown, his first game as a pro caught two TD's in his first game....Of anyone who should be cut its Mingo....or trade him...We need help at OT, after Steele there is Nate Thomas / Shelton (who is definitely not ready to play yet). And this is not even taking into account that Steele is a very weak point of this line and teams will take advantage of that.
CB, they are fine with CB 1, 2, & 3 but they believe talent falls off after that. They don't need Joey Porter level of talent and no way would they trade for him, but they just need a guy that can play. They will find one on the waiver wire after cut down.
the RB lineup is set and we will be fine the way that is.
I think we are good at DT, LB, definitely OK at safety (so much so that we will end up dumping a guy that could be starting anywhere else in Julius Wood)
Obviously, I am a little u sure what we have at DE but am hopeful. Yes we have to live with the world where there isn't a superstar at end on this team, but hopefully we can create pressure enough to keep QBs honest.
TE, I would like to see Ferguson, Spann-Ford, and Triggs but in any way, we are good there
WR, got probably the best group of WRs we have had over 30 years possibly ever (on paper at least until we see it). Obviously don't need help here, and will possibly drop some real talent at cut time (Mingo/Brown, Hudson). Imo we should keep 6 (includes Mingo and Brown), but if we only do 5 then Mingo would be my cut. I know some say Mingo does special teams also, but work it out. Don't cut Brown. QB backups, oh boy I hope they don't keep both at least not on the 53. Cut one and put him on practice squad. Don't waste a roster spot on 3rd string qb. It is kind of a tossup with this preseason, but I tilt towards Milton.
To be fair this is the first year we’ve had capable QBs in preseason.I agree with you 100% on Mingo....been in the league three years and just caught his first pro TD...meanwhile Brown, his first game as a pro caught two TD's in his first game....Of anyone who should be cut its Mingo....or trade him...

Special? Bijan is special. Achane is special. Now you have to be playing around lol. This is borderline obsession with a player lol.Blue > Davis
Get used to it. Stop complaining. Davis is but a backup at best. Blue has the tools to become special, a game changer week-in amd week-out.
No, you're just stubborn and think Blue is not good. Can't wait for him to prove you wrong this season.Special? Bijan is special. Achane is special. Now you have to be playing around lol. This is borderline obsession with a player lol.
Ok now you’re just flat out lying lol. Everyone knows I’m a Dak apologist what are you even talking about? I can’t believe you’re resorting to lying over Blue. I doubted Dak sounds crazy lol….and even if I did what did I doubt? Leading us to 7-8-1? Great. No, you're just stubborn and think Blue is not good. Can't wait for him to prove you wrong this season.
A year ago, you suddenly got the same way with doubting Dak. Dak proved you wrong last year. You are now doing the same with Blue.
You see who is lying? You just exposed yourself. I don't ever lie, and I don't forget what certain posters say around here. A year ago, you doubted Dak would play well after coming off an injured season. Well, Dak proved you wrong just like Blue is going prove you wrong as well.Ok now you’re just flat out lying lol. Everyone knows I’m a Dak apologist what are you even talking about? I can’t believe you’re resorting to lying over Blue. I doubted Dak sounds crazy lol….and even if I did what did I doubt? When was the last time two of these three played at a high level in the NFL?Why does some (seems like 98%) say they need help at CB?
They have Revel, Durant, Bland (though may are down on him)
