I just can’t shake this one.
I’m sure I’m being a bit dramatic but I was pretty much on board with pretty much every offseason move, or at least willing to say “I’m sure there’s a good reason”, until this move.
But there was zero indication that this guy was going to be anything in Pittsburgh this year but a ninth o-lineman in an injury and that’s only because Omar Khan wouldn’t take the red hot heat that would have come with cutting his first ever draft pick as their GM in 2023.
He’s like Mazi last year. Should have been cut but dumped in a trade to save face.
Now we’re supposed to buy in that he’s our best backup tackle and capable of taking over for Guyton or Steele.
I don’t think I would have picked him up off waivers because I doubt he is physically capable of actually helping this year.
I’m going to bookmark this and deliver a receipt to myself if I’m wrong. Hope it happens.
