I know we're overloaded at WR- but Smith

Yep...I know. Don't see how in the heck we keep him. But I htink he'd make a good "niche" receiver....somewhere.

How far off am I? lol.

I like what I see from Anthony Smith . I wish they had him back for punts & kickoffs pre season instead of Phil Mafah for goodness sakes which is like racing a Bradley Tank at a Grand Prix . Smith can be effective on Jet sweeps and in passing plays he slips a tackle he’s off to races . I hope he is on the PS .

And clocked a 4.48 at his pro day, so kid can move.
Dallas has a chance to get younger and better at WR, here with Brown, Hudson and Anthony Smith behind Pickens, Lamb and Flournoy. Could trade Mingo for 27 draft capital and still be much improved at WR depth for the near future. Could Mingo bring this team a fourth round pick come April.

"Put away the annointing oil"
Let's see them play against the 1's.
Who said that.

Nobody.

But there you are...arguing it.

Like you're annointed or something.,

Siome people just can't be happy with ANYTHING unless they're tearing somebody else down.

He runs a nice clean route too. He topped off the curl perfectly.
Kid is a keeper, I have been watching this team's depth at wide receiver for years. If he can play special teams keep him over Mingo, and Mingo has looked good as well. So you can see how much I like young Anthony Smith here.

It's a nice thought but nobody is giving us a 4th back for Mingo. You could maybe talk a team into a 6th or conditional future 5th.

You mean Anthony Smith?

He was a 7th round pick
Most teams will stick with their current excess of WR's to fill their PS or last roster spot.

I liked what little we seen, but I think a year on the PS will be great.

I think both Flournoy and Mingo are in a contract year. As well Turpin.

So some development will be great. And it may leave some open roster spots at WR.
Everything you just mentioned, plus GP being on the tag and very expensive is why you have to keep Brown.

..he is, has great hands and coordination.

I saw it in camp. The guy almost dropped nothing.
I don't care what some will say to me for this statement, but 3 young young wide receivers I would keep under the top 3 are. Camden Brown, Hudson and Smith if at all possible. These are 3 talented and young players, and good depth as well. Smith might give you a little Cole Beasley vibes if you coached him that way out of the slot. But he's just fine out wide as well. All 3 of these players can catch the football, and are elusive afterwards.
