It will be interesting to see if any team claims milton off waivers. Same for blue.
I dont know if shotty wanted to release milton, or if jones boys did that.

But one thing is good the cowboys are churning the roster way more than in the past.

They have 2 weeks before games start, so players may still be added and subtracted till then.
They may bring milton back if no one claims him.

True. And most of these players will likely never amount too much, but it is better that teams aren't interested in some of your scrubs than thinking they all suck.

I love how Schotty just put Steele out there. This either brings the best out of Steele or gives the trade for Jones more validation.

I don't think work ethic has ever been mentioned as a problem for Steele. In fact, I'd venture to say he probably wouldn't have made it as far as he has in the league without a good one because he isn't a supremely talented player.

You're right, he was an undrafted rookie that worked his way onto the team and into a starting spot. But (and I am just speculating), the dip in Steele's play seemed to happen after he got that big contract.

Some players feel they've "arrived" at that point and their nature is to start slacking since they are now financially secure. Not saying Steele is like that, and maybe the knee injury a few years ago is more to blame, but he's been bad this camp. For whatever reason.

The dip in play happened after he tore an ACL. He worked hard to get back by the next season from that but he hasn't been the same yet. He already had limited mobility, so maybe it took out what lateral mobility he had.

I think too often fans see a slip in play and want to blame the player's work ethic when it's really just the wear and tear on their body that's to blame.

In the event Milton doesn't make it back to the PS tomorrow, should they take a look at Will Levis? Thought he was a good QB coming out of Kentucky and he is hard to judge based on how bad the Titans were when he started there.

That's like letting the air out of the tires of a car and then blaming the car for not getting you anywhere. Makes zero sense.

I think the proper argument is to say Howell is vastly more experienced than Milton. Howell has 18 starts and Milton has really only played one full NFL game; outside of second half or 4th quarter mop-up duty.

Howell has gone through several weeks of practicing as the starter, getting starter reps, and playing entire regular season football games. Milton has not; and that experience is not something you can replicate in exhibition games with vanilla gameplans.

Not saying that. But a QB can only do so much when the entire team around them is bad. The Chiefs were 6-8 in games Patrick Mahomes started last year. Shouldn't he have elevated the roster? Or was he handcuffed by a bad team?

This isn't rocket science. Look at Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lion. How many games did he win back then? Because Matthew Stafford, LA Ram, has a Super Bowl ring.

this is why you dont use a PS spot for a RB.

They have no value anymore.
