Putting him on IR is the smart move. Leaving him on the 53 ties up a roster spot for 4 weeks....for what?

Putting him on the IR is exactly the opposite of putting themselves into a corner. This gives them flexibility with his roster spot.

The smart move was doing the surgery back when the issue first popped up.

Not wrongly believing it could be played through and then do the surgery the week of opening game. That’s very stupid.

Honestly.... All we have been hearing is win now, all about this season, yet we have our best OL delay surgery, to play thru it, despite our starters sitting the entire preseason.

My guess they will call Leverette up from the PS. Cornelius can also play guard.

As an aside, I just randomly checked out Browns Raiders playoff from 1980.
Watch a couple of minutes on that on YouTube and tell me you don’t miss that brand of football.

Raiders are now in fancy Vegas. Even the Browns are building a dome. Don’t love it.

Not sure what depth you are referring too.....If Bass is starting....Cornelius is out....Leverette on the practice squad....

You literally have no one else playing inside.....Hence cutting Keegan was a mistake.

Looks like Dallas should have kept Keegan on the 53 and cut Carson the corner who has pass interference problems . If they knew Tyler Smith was injured for some time, this is the first I have heard of his injured thumb.
