We paid Kenneth Murray Jr. $7.5 million last year to suck on top of using a draft pick to get him. I think fans get too caught up in what players are worth. I've mentioned it before that it seems to me to be a lot like my father-in-law who fusses about the prices any time we take him to a restaurant. He expects stuff to cost what it did 10 years ago or 20 years ago.
Yeah, higher salaries for backups…..wonder why they paying this much for backups? Unless they have plans to move on from Ferg or one of the 2 wr starters?

No, just saying they are two bigger salaries for a backup wr and te. Usually signing the backups isn’t the priority.
They really aren’t that expensive. That is what backups get now with the ever rising salary cap.

I guess it gives us some stability at the positions, not knowing what Pick does next season. Maybe I was expecting them to do something different with the money they freed up, like add to the D. Well, we will find out soon enough how that looks…..
It isnt even the same money though. The money they freed up is available now, while these contracts are for next year. Their cap number this year barely changes.
