When Did You Buy into Camden Brown Making the 53-Man Cut?

I love the kid, but in the short term to me it's just a numbers game. You need a 3rd RB (I don't consider Luepke to be that) before you need a 6th WR. Plus, DeMercado is a proven good STs guy while Brown is a guy we are pretty sure can play STs. Long term Brown is the much better prospect.
Too small of a sample to say that for sure.

I thought he had a chance when I read at the 2026 Hula Bowl he ran a 4.33 forty.

Brown was making plays when other guys weren’t. That one guy made a couple of plays I forget his name. Thought Tyler Johnson looked like a pro’s pro as well, but he does nothing special and he’s like 28, just well rounded. But Brown was catching balls that a lot of people just aren’t capable of doing

He’s a big possession receiver. Good NCAA numbers.

Strong hands and can jump. 37 inch vertical.

Likely the reason he went undrafted is because he’s slow.

Below avg top end speed. Lacks route separation.

OK but he's still 4th or 5th on the death chart Maybe even 6 I mean how many games will he be active how many balls can he actually get do you realize how many targets there are on offense going to Lamb, Pickens, Ferguson, Turpin, flournoy, the running backs, hell TE2 Newly paid BSF....

OK now how many are left tell me how he's gonna break into this line up just because you think he can catch some footballs better than a few other people?

This team will be centered around the run and then they will go to their primary targets and there won't be many scraps left he's gonna have to take a while to break into this lineup is all I'm saying so people keep talking about this dude how many pages are we in?

Look how long flournoy taken to do this? he was even put on the practice squad he was cut and brought back, Now it's his turn..

We've had some pretty good receivers come through here like Cedric Wilson even Noah Brown was pretty good and even Lance Lenore and some other guys but they never got their chance to be a starter here because the Cowboys are always pretty loaded at receiver and it takes a while to break in because again the offense has limited snaps they have limited targets in the pass game..

How is that even a thing when everyone's saying that at best he's like a 4.5? And maybe he had a couple where he registered worse than that But hey if the Dude can catch he's what we call possession receiver, you can use those he's Noah Brown with better hands.

I mean that's who he is and don't knock me using Noah Brown as it some kind of diss it is not a diss,

noah Brown came from a good school he actually was a pretty solid receiver in college he's had a few big flashes in the NFL so that's more of a compliment than anything that's who he reminds me of But just a little bit better hands more reliable hands in traffic...

The game against Seattle. I started to believe. As that and the TC practice talk.
However I held off. We seen this too many times before.

After the Arizona game. I put him on my 53. And they would somehow find a way to keep 6 WR.

Even at that going into the Saints game. I wanted to see more. Just to be sure. However I wanted to see more from Mingo as well. But he did not dress. And was not disappointed on Browns performance in the Saints game.

He clocked a 4.6 predraft

Weaknesses

  • Below average top-end speed.
  • Routes are too rounded and lack ideal precision.
  • Struggles to trip up coverage with leverage or fakes.
  • Drifts nonchalantly into the top of the route on stops/curls.
  • Sees a high percentage of his targets contested.

It was his pro day and pro day times are more word of mouth from teams and his 10 yard split was elite.
