This is why I think realistic expectations pre season should be encouraged instead of the pure blind optimism every offseason.

Expectations should not get lowered after a bad game. If you feel this roster is too 10 in the league we should not be making excuses for the coaching staff right now.

Look, nobody wants to admit they were wrong. Even Jerry himself had to take back some of his expectations. In his interview yesterday. He said “ there has not been this much change since 1989.” He went one to say “ we won one game that year.” I take that to mean if this team only wins one game, he will not be overly surprised. This is Jerry and his big ego, telling us. This is a bad team. They know it. So. Will you ride with a 1-16 team, expect they will be bring back all the coaches or bail?

Before Sunday, everyone was buying the cheese, thinking superbowl. Now since the game. People realizing. It’s new players, new coaches and they are willing except this season will not even end in the playoffs. Even Jerry said yesterday that , he is not expecting much from this team. So my question is.
Where did your high expectations come from? What happened to them? Don’t blame Jerry he did not hype this team this year. Discussions?

My question is what do you think about the 4 forced fumbles? I think if they keep doing that, they will get some wins. What would you think if the Cowboys fumbled 4 times.

• Some of our fans around here were hard on anyone who wasn’t “positive enough” or sipping the blue off-season juice. Others predicted total doom. (Again, neither side knows what’s going to happen. Let fans fan however they choose)
• There are 16 more games.

Come on, Bob. Don't gaslight. You know that every season is going to fail if Jerry doesn't hire a professional GM. We don't need any larger of a sample size than the last 30 years.

I understand that you are trying to be fair and a good guy, but you know the real truth and bringing up "just one game" cliches is a needless distraction from the truth.

Thanks for the logical big picture assessment, but it may hit different for the OP. There might be some kind of self-delusion in play where one person out of <insert any number> in the fan community believes they are right and everyone else is wrong.

All you need to know each off season is if Jerry hired a professional GM. If he didn't then you know that season will be yet another failed season. The pattern of results cannot be any more clear about that.
