The truth is the Giants were able to control the game. Even though the Cowboys were outplayed they did force 4 fumbles and if they would have gotten 1 more of the loose balls the outcome could have been different.

  • Some of our fans around here were hard on anyone who wasn’t “positive enough” or sipping the blue off-season juice. Others predicted total doom. (Again, neither side knows what’s going to happen. Let fans fan however they choose)
  • There are 16 more games.
  • There WILL be surprises.

Real question. Why are we hiring a rookie defensive coordinator when we have not won **** in 30 years.

Maybe I am wrong...but are you saying Jerry did not utter the words "Super Bowl" this offseason...in fact I thought he uttered them today when he talked about how Seattle and New England started the seasons last year and how that did not stop them from reaching the Super Bowl
 
It's been said this years offense is The Greatest Offense There Is "GOTI" ..I expect Dak attack and the $30 mil receivers to break some records lol

Because we’ve hired former head coaches and mult-stop DCs to do it and they sucked

Zimmer, Nolan’s Eberflus, Marinelli.

Those guys all had bottom third defenses.

How’d that work out for us?

CeeDee is NOT Michael in any way shape or form. Do not believe that all these young players that they overhype EVERY YEAR are a "the next version of" any former Cowboys great.

  • Watch other teams: The NY Knicks just won. Giants have a new coach. 25th anniversary of 9/11. New football season. Cowboys have dominated the Giants for a decade. NOT THE TIME TO BE COCKY AND OVERCONFIDENT. Parcells would often tell his better teams "Don't eat the cheese" and then warn them about bad teams being a buzzsaw. Only listening to and watching local media makes you think other teams didn't also get better.

  • "You are what your record says you are": George Steinbrenner was all about winning. Almost irrationally. Hal...not so much. 12 baseball teams make the wildcard so...as long as we get some postseason revenue...we're good. Jerry is the same but you guys buy his lies! Winning organizations like SF, Baltimore, New England and yes Philadelphia...they get the VERY BEST COACHES and then center all decisions around WINNING. And if the standard isn't met they don't give McCarthy 3 years to collapse late in the season and then another just because! They fire Andy Reid and dump McNabb to get the best guy! McNabb had been to 4 NFC Championship games and 1 SB...and yet...we are stuck with a bloated salary and mediocre results - and the Jones's couldn't be happier.
In short, wake me up when a Parcells is hired - a man who can't be bought or silenced by the sweaty-browed con man. I hated that ole carpetbagger Parcells when he got here ...but on reflection...he was giving us the antidote to Jerry's BS. He had to UNDO THE CULTURE that Jerry instilled after Jimmy left...and the only way to do that was to remove the SELF DELUSION.

Agree. Yeah...Bill Parcells. I remember us old timers kinda loathed Bill back in the day when he became the Cowboys HC because mostly we thought he was past his prime and didn't really value the QB (Quincy??) but dang, I'd long for someone of his ilk back in charge of the football players...

LOL. If someone were in that dude's funeral viewing talking about the Cowboys winning a ho-hum Sunday 1pm game, he'd sit up in the coffin and declare "we're going to the Super Bowl!!"....

I'm not gloating. I want a win. I predicted a win. But I'm still detached from being sucked in and I just follow passively..

Cowboys football just isn't that big a deal, even tho I still like it.

Lol. You made the statement about how he’s “impressive”. You’re the one that has to back it up with proof.

Do you want me to disprove that he’s “impressive”? Look at the defense in game 1 and how unprepared that they were.

If you don’t have proof for “why he’s an impressive defensive coordinator“, you’re just talking out of your ***.

You guys are the ones that are happiest when the Cowboys lose because you can then apply your purity tests, point fingers at other fans, and demand they "find a new team".
