I’ve been ardently following the draft for 35+ years now. Even so, Mazi was a lesson for me to trust your eyes and convictions.

I never saw the player Mazi was purported to be on tape at Michigan. Combine that with his absolutely abysmal production and it was clear to see he was purely hype—a myth based on supposed freaky athleticism.

Despite all that I allowed myself to be convinced there must be something I’m just missing. There wasn’t.

Yeah, but you DID see Mazi jumping the Plyo stairs......thats all it took the Cowboys scouting department.

The issue was they year after year refuse to use free agency so they wanted to fill their biggest needs through the draft. If you didn’t do that maybe you pick someone else.

What's proven is making wise choices. Look at KC. Neither Mahomes nor Chris Jones were anywhere near highest graded players.

Just taking your highest graded player willynilly is what leads to us not winning playoff games, as it leaves you w/ gaping holes.

Before anyone starts saying hindsight is 20-20, there were a lot of us hoping the Cowboys drafted Rodriguez. You could see he was not a flashy guy, just a hard working get it done kind of player at a position where the Cowboys desperately needed a guy like that. Hopefully, Barham is that guy.

It happens on every team though every team goes through this TJ Watt was passed up by more than the Cowboys rodriguez now I gotta hear nothing but Rodriguez over there with the Dolphins was passed up by how many teams All of them in the first round and four or 5 of them in the second round and yeah it's always hangs on the Cowboys mist no all teams miss all teams over evaluate some players and they overdraft and they underdraft and they miss it happens there's no reason to talk about you know what I never heard of this guy..

That's how much I don't care I never heard of this guy I don't even know what team he plays for I didn't even bother clicking the story but I'm tired of hearing about how the Cowboys do this when it's the league that does this this is why guys like Tom Brady and Brock Purdy can be found in late rounds because the draft is not perfect and this is why guys like Tony Romo and Kurt Warner can be found undrafted and there is a lot of Hall of Farmers that went undrafted explain that that's not the cowboys that has nothing to do with anything and I really don't care about this story but I just thought I'd share my thoughts on it
