As a whole, perhaps but just being fast doesn't make them better players and today's rules take away speed advantage in some ways just like 90's rules helped defenders slow down receivers.

Also, if we are going with the whole bigger, faster, stronger wouldn't today's receivers benefit as well?
 
I blame the internet and clout chasing for engagement. We have devalued winning and put an emphasis on sizzle and stats. It is a lot easier in todays NFL to amass a bunch of yards and TDs than it was 2 decades ago.

Aikman and Dak have completely different styles. Aikmen was more clutch than Dak IMO.

Statistically only, Dak is better.

Aikman's numbers were the by-product of two things- the era he played in and the design of Dallas' offense. Anywhere close to the goal-line and Emmitt ran it in. That really cut into Troy's TD pass totals.

Dak had the luxury of coming into the league with 4 future HOFers already on his team (at the time Frederick would have been if not for a crazy illness). Martin, Smith, Frederick, Witten.

Aikman - Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Larry Allen, Charles Haley, Deion Sanders - thats 5.

Agree 100 percent. I’m a fan of Dak. Dak a good Qb and a great citizen. But Aikmen was unbelivable in the tournament. He play wad superb when it matter the most. Dak deserves a championship as did Romo.
Staubach is just a living legend. Nobody will ever reach that level of heroism of Roger, but Troy is a solid second.
