Dak is a greater QB than Aikman?

He didn’t do anything. The giants did. And he did play great at times but he was often bailed out by his D. There’s more but I’m done for now. Makes me sick just taking about Eli, especially the way you fawn over him like you have a teen crush. LOL
People like to forget that just before the helmet play, which was one of the luckiest plays ever, Eli put a pick in the hands of Samuels and he dropped it

Yeah, you could also use the Montana/Brady argument here. Dak was a 4th round pick that took a very specific set of circumstances to play his rookie year. Possible he doesn’t ever play in Jimmy’s era.

But on the flipside, unquestionably Dak was better day 1 than Aikman or Romo were. Maybe that was part of his situation with the team, or maybe that’s something Jimmy would have noticed right away and maybe Dak does play.
Dak was not better on day 1. What kind of crap are you spewing. Dak would have been murdered in Troy’s situation and Troy would have won a SB in Dak’s.

While I agree Aikman was better and more reliable, that's patently false. The defense failed every time in the playoffs since 2006 except once. Against the 49ers when they held the 9ers to 19 points. There's no way Aikman would have made a difference in any year except maybe have won that particular game. A QB can't make a defense play better, so the results would have been the same except for one game.

That’s fair but will never know for sure

Aikman facing the current Eagles defense would challenge him. It’s a different game today and players on defense are faster than Aikman ever had to concern himself with.
And offenses are equally as fast and even more creative

I'll come to Dak's defense here. He is 100% ELITE against the NFC East. He has never showed any kind of performance anxiety when he's had to play our Division foe's It's when the lights get bright and he's "unfamiliar", things have gone south. If the Cowboys were a MLB team, they'd start Prescott in Game 1 unless it was outside of the Division.
He's 100% elite against all average, or below average defenses. The minute the pressure's on, he folds like a cheap suit.

It's absolutely stupid to attribute any wins/losses to one player consistently. Especially in different era's and completely different staff and rosters.
It is most certainly a team game that counts on everyone doing their job.

But every position is not 100% equal on their effect of the outcome of the game.

That's why starting quarterbacks are pretty much the Jewel of the Nile and get paid what they do because they have a tremendous amount of effect on the game being for no other reason than they touch the ball on every offensive play.

The quarterbacks impact on the game is very real and can be drastic.
So although you don't attribute losses and wins to a single player certain positions do have greater impact on the game than others and quarterback is certainly one of them.

No matter what era come from

Not really.
When you have a top 5-10 QB, that's probably not why you're losing games. That's 1/3 of the team.

Some of the Speakeasy crew said Dak was better than Aikman and Romo. Romo can be contested but to say Dak is better than a HOF, and one of the most accurate playoff QB in NFL history, is absurd.

Aikman was a far better college QB and pro QB than Dak. No disrespect to Dak, but "I know Troy and you sir (Dak) are no Troy Aikman.
Anyone who asks this question deserves to be in a mental asylum and obviously didnt watch Aikman play live and is just a stat monkey

Aikman was leagues better than Dak or Romo

Hey, I just came up with this for Dak: GQBTI. What do you think?
Disclaimer: It has nothing to do with gender preference or identity.

You can only have one dynasty at a time. There were the Cowboys and some teams aspiring to be the Cowboys.
disagree, but agree it's a fine point. The Bills, Niners, Packers for sure would have championships and their own dynastic runs if not for the Cowboys. Within our own division we had two teams that were would have certainly gottern further if not for us.

some years a dynasty just beats the best of the rest. some dynasties supress other dynasties.

If Dak wins, the other team sucked or it’s because of the rest of the team.

If Dak loses, it’s his fault, no one else.
Let me fix this for you.

"If Dallas wins" should be the start of both sentences.

Those who choose your first wording are claiming that Dak IS the sole reason for the result. Thereby leading others to question how that is true.

They never use your second wording because they are already blaming everthing & everyone else.

heck the only reason he wasn't thrown to the ground before he could throw it was because of a very controversial call the week before which had defenders leery of getting a roughing call.
