Like he did on the Dez caught it play. The exact opposite mindset of the Pickens play.Romo is forcing that play to win is all I’m saying

If the coach said throw it away that’s a fireable offense. If Dak played scared that’s on him. Romo was a killer and wouldn’t go down without tryingLike he did on the Dez caught it play. The exact opposite mindset of the Pickens play.
Oh, you want to take the easy way out.I’m more disturbed we kicked the ball in the end zone, after that, why not kick it in the field of play and run the clock down
Exactly. This is so overblown. I don't think Schottenheimer literally meant to just snap it and throw it away. He meant don't take any stupid chances, to throw it away if you don't like what you see.
This is the problem now with coaches trying to take bullets for players. The age old wisdom is for leaders to take responsibility, but the media and fans take this literally and think he really meant, "Just throw it away, don't even try to score here." Of course he wanted to score, otherwise they'd just kick the FG on third down.
Dak has already stated that he could have \ should have waited a beat longer. The still shots are also misrepresenting.
The backup was in at RT for Steele, and he was bull rushed right into Dak’s face. He threw the ball away before Pickens made his push off move to get open. Did he throw it too soon? Yes, but I’m sure Schotty’s “over coaching” the situation and Broderick Jones being driven back into his face led to that.
Pickens was not open until after the pass was in the air.
It's madness. He kicked two low ones OB but they never thought Aubrey could kick it high and straight 65 yards inside the 10 and let them return it? We're in OTI’m more disturbed we kicked the ball in the end zone, after that, why not kick it in the field of play and run the clock down
He's right.
Steele has been a problem forever. The fact that we've done nothing to replace him goes back to poor GM evalution prowess. And no, throwing mid/late round picks at anything is not addressing it.The still shots are also misrepresenting.

LOL this whole thing is blowing my mind. Schotty said that likely just trying to be the coach that covers for his players. Good on him. But the reality is there is no way Schotty told him to do that. Maybe he said if the first read isn't there air mail it and that makes sense. You can't go to read 2 and risk a sack. This is so overblown. Yeah but this is more for the adults, bro. Not the sensitive babies who can't handle a dissenting, and almost always right, opinion.Jesse Holley is the biggest hater around. I can’t stand him in Hangin with the boys. All he talks about himself and how the Cowboys suck. I’m sure he’s one of the haters here on a regular basis.
Emmitt Smith scores a TD on the 1st quarter drive that ended with a FG from the 2yd line and the final Cowboys drive that ended at the 2yd line. Troy would have handed the ball off both times. Can you imagine what TROY would have done in that case?
Better than kissing the butt of the haters for likes.Yeah but this is more for the adults, bro. Not the sensitive babies who can't handle a dissenting, and almost always right, opinion.
I agree with you. Dak got rid of it so quickly it is hard to believe a coach would have told him to do that in that situation. The play they called needed a couple of seconds to develop and given the route it was unlikely Pickens would ever be that open that quickly. Nothing about that play makes sense. This is so overblown. I don't think Schottenheimer literally meant to just snap it and throw it away. He meant don't take any stupid chances, to throw it away if you don't like what you see.

So you are saying Dak played it even more conservatively than Schottenheimer instructed. I think you're right. This is so overblown.
