Top 3 worst management decisions over the years

What would have been the point of signing AP?

By the time he left Minnesota, they'd already drafted Zeke. You're mad that they didn't trade for him?

1) Not continuing the Bill Parcells blueprint
2) The net trades he has completed over the past 37 years-most have been failures and big ones at that
3) The head coach hiring process.

Not treating Aikman the way the Patriots handled Brady,

QBs are precious, don’t let there bodies be destroyed!

Apply the same logic to Zeke and Murray, protect special running backs.
Yeah with QB’s, but not with RB’s. I’m 100% positive almost everyone here raved about how great zeke was, and better than Barkley, for getting those “dirty” yards. Those same fans bragged about his rushing titles and endorsed his contract, if you will, because he was supposedly so durable.

Then what happened? It was no secret he didn’t take care of his body. He was the first player ever (IIRC) to hold out with 2 years still left on his contract and then demanded to be the highest paid RB ever. Of course Jerrah made a spectacle of it and thought he was clever with the “Zeke who?” T shirts which ended up being prophetic.

Of course his cheerleaders propped him up as some kind of hero on the team but he went to Cabo and refused to come back (WITH TWO YEARS) left on his contract while his teammates were busting their balls in training camp. He finally shows up with a couple weeks left and is clearly out of shape. If he didn’t have the best O line in the league he would have been an average RB.

And the funniest thing about all of this is how many of his fans used his most yards as a RB for several seasons as a testament to how great he was and also talked about how durable he was then a few years later they blame the coaches for running him too much and “ruining” his career which completely contradicts what they claim his main strength was. Guess what, he would have never had those rushing records if they didn’t hand him the ball so much which he also obviously advocated with his stupid feed me gesture.

He was possibly the most over rated player in Cowboys history and he bent Jerry over, did him dry, and most of you were screaming “pay the man”. Lol, zeke definitely got last laugh, the Cowboys were still writing him checks when he was playing for the Pats.

I hated the way we treated Zeke. From overuse to playing him injured to making him play entire offensive line. Would Barkley do that? Would they even dare ask him to? He'd laugh.

Because we never really replaced Frederick, we made him block not just an occasional safety blitz, but D-line.

Fans made fun of him for "tapping out"....because we'd just run him into the ground.

Just one more in a long list of wasting good players.
And Ever since Zeke, Jerry does not respect the RB position.

Pushed himself, too big of an ego
Yea you're right. Imagine the person who built the Dynasty getting upset because an inexperienced buffoon wanted to get credit for things that he didn't do. Jimmy didn't suffer. He lived the good life. Us fans have been suffering ever since cause Jerry is still determined to convince us that he was responsible for it. He's failed miserably.

^ this is exactly the kind of fan I mentioned earlier.

No Zeke wasn;t perfect but the Cowboys used him hard and early.

Criticizing him because he had a lot of carries? WHO decides THAT? Zeke? NooOOo.

Theuy asked him to play injured and he did...playing injured only gets you more injured. Ask your boy Barkley about how to manage his injuries.

He played hard...and did every unreasonable thing the Cowboys asked him to do. They ran him ragged. And THIS is the kind of _____ appreciation he gets.

1. Firing Jimmy
2. Not drafting moss
3. Firing Parcells

Honorable mention firing Landry in the fashion he did. Or at least how I remember it.
we were too far gone for Moss to have made any real difference
the O line was declining and the defense was withering

We’re talking about bad decisions from a team/organization that literally just got praised for completing an actual hiring process for a defensive coordinator.

Let that sink in.

The Cowboys are so dysfunctional that simply interviewing multiple candidates and conducting a legitimate search for an open position was considered noteworthy.

It was up to the owner to do the right thing and put up with Jimmy. Two massive egos and neither one would bend
Jimmy has said since that time that he wanted to leave.....I can't believe people can't believe the words of the man who said them

It was Jerry that wanted Troy,
Jerry deserves every bit as much Credit for putting the team together.
After that, it was all Jimmy
