CBS Sports and Tony Romo have mutually agreed to part ways

Nantz needs to go as well, he's very boring. No opinion yet on JJ, but Nantz isn't going to help him get better, lol.
Pat Summerall was the best play by ply voice in the business but he needed a true "color" analyst to reach his peak.
- John Madden was the most colorful of all "color" analyst.

Nantz is Ed McMahon.
- Romo was his Johnny Carson.

Unfortunately JJ Watt is boring.

Michael Irvin has stabbed somebody in the neck. He has numerous drug issues over the years, as well as domestic issues.

And don’t get me wrong, I love 88. He’s my favorite cowboy of the 90s.

But he has been on TV for 35 years on every network.

This is a personal vendetta against Tony.

By the way, millions of Americans have got DUIs on their record.

Now I’m not justifying it, obviously, a guy like Tony Romo should be able to get someone to pick him up.

It's a close one between having to listen to JJ Watt commentate or booking a one way flight to Switzerland...

Romo made a bad mistake and he has paid the price for it. Hopefully over time he will get a gig somewhere else. I enjoy listening to his insight.
Switzerland is a great place to visit, Geneva is a great city. Sure "boring" is a phrase often used re Switzerland but their alpine areas are beyond compare

His home course in Far North Dallas is about to reopen after spending 30 million dollars renovating the golf course so maybe he just plays golf in the mean time to get his sports fix

“I’m proud of what I accomplished at CBS Sports over the last nine years. I approached my role as a game analyst the way I’ve approached everything in my life–with a desire to win and be the best that I can be. I'm going to use this time to take a break, something I've never done before, and focus on my health and my family before moving on to my next opportunity. I am grateful for my time with CBS Sports and for the continued support of my family and friends, as well as the NFL community and fans.”

Romo always seemed like he would give his wife a "Dutch Oven" then laugh hysterically.

Cool. Bring him in as a consultant. He's great in the booth, but it seemed like he was getting bored towards the end. The man is a football encyclopedia and would be a great coordinator imo. Wishful thinking, but you never know.

No one watches games because of the announcers
I don't know. Whereas I would never tune to a game solely for the announcer I would be more inclined to watch a Romo announced game if I had to choose between two non-Dallas, meaningless to me games.

More time for golf and then Bam he will be announcing somewhere else. Rehabilitation is real and he was really one of the best for a good while.

Romo was a man’s man. Who gives a damn if he drinks a little alcohol?? Yeah sure don’t drive drunk but let the man sip his booze!!!!!!

You are probably the one that went through the trouble to create that very poorly made and juvenile clip aren't you?

You realize this is a bad look for you right? I mean, everyone already knows your ridiculousness, but this just puts it on full display. You know that right?
Go cry to mommy. Better yet, go cry to Romo. He needs a hug.
