Dak Prescott is elite in the final two minutes of games

That's because the last 2 minutes are prime Garbage Time minutes.

You tweak that stat so it only shows games where the game is still there to be won (7 pts or less), OR in the playoffs....very different story.

But yeah... if the game is out of reach, and the defense is in prevent and conceding the 5 and 10 yard passes....even if it leads to a last minute meaningless TD, there's no other QB I'd rather have on my fantasy team for those last 2 pointless minutes. Most QBs will take extreme chances in that scenario...trying to get quick scores to give their team even a sliver of a chance...but not Dak. He'll concede the loss, and just steadily dink and dunk down the field, and ensure that he gets that last second meaningless TD pass. Amazing Junk Time fantasy QB.

Just one question for you...because we won;t get anywhere here...right? All heels dug in no matter what. But just one simple yes or no question.

Let's forget for a moment all the other aspects of the game...inlcuding those 90 Henry yards i bet you would have said no way BEFORE the game.

Now...try to be calm and focus. We'll all be okay.

Did the defense give Dak and the offense a chance to win the game?
Did the offense tie the game with a near certainty of OT? How many teams have you seen score in 14 seconds? Average D right? Lol

What's hilarious is the likes of YOU holding fans accountable, but not the super star "franchiseQB" Dak.

All Dak has to do is throwing a routine 5 yard TD pass....but that to you is too much to ask of him.

Talk about "Dak Derangement".
You have defense derangement. The one you claim is average. :lmao2:

There was no wide open receiver when the ball was thrown. Maybe you can argue that he should have waited a second longer. The wide open argument is farcical
That's because if you rewatch the footage, the ball was always meant to be thrown out. Dak is only looking in the direction to throw it away, doesn't scan the field, doesn't see any sort of pressure, just follows a bad call by the play caller. A real leader.

You mean like the defense being average?

:lmao2:
Sure, we have Jerry Jones as a GM. That's a given. Does that excuse the Quarterback from being mediocre and doing poor decision making? Like I say you guys are going to coddle him all the way up to year 15, not expecting any results. Dak has the misfortune of coming after Romo, in that they produce similar results but at this time true Cowboys fans should expect the team to improve. 2014 is still our best year.

In the last two minutes, he brought the team from inside the 5-yard line all the way down to the opposing 5. His coach told him to throw the ball away,

how is that choking?

They said if he hit his back foot, we didn’t have a timeout, but your bias might overlook how quickly he got the ball downfield, putting us in scoring position and tying the game. That’s clutch, not choking.
We don't know what the coach actually told him to do. Maybe he's trying to shift the blame. Why bother snapping the ball if you're going to throw it away? Just kick the FG on 3rd down. Or did he tell him, if it's not there, throw it away. That's on Dak. Because it was there.

I also don't care how quickly he moved the ball down the field. None of that matters if you don't score. But the loss to the Ravens I put on the coaches, not Dak. That should have went into OT.

Basically, it comes down to "no guts, no glory." There most certainly no guts on the coaching side, but its not like we hired the best guy there anyway. Watching the play over and over again, there is no guts on the quarterback side. This is one of those times you can look at where Dak is looking at, and he was going to throw that thing away as soon as he stepped out of the huddle. He didn't look at any of the receivers, or any possible pushback on the Offensive line. That was going to be thrown away right away. So either the coach did tell him that or he decided that on his own. Does it matter? It's like that show said posted on one of the posts in the forum. At least Romo had stopped listening to some of Garrets gutless calls and told his teammates that they were going for the win.

Here not so much, with enough time on the clock where if John Madden were still announcing, he would say you got one more shot at the endzone you should go for. No matter how you look at it. It doesn't make sense. You can kick the field goal if overtime is your goal. You can go into shotgun and runn off some time before throwing it out. You can at least scan the endzone to see if you can do anything, but no that ball was going to be thrown out as soon as it got snapped. Gutless.

But people are going try to obfuscate things, and bring up a pushback on an offensive lineman that in live action didn't last all that long and looks like it got stopped. One which Dak never appeared to see. They going to say when Dak looked the receiver wasn't open, so he decided to throw it away, when if you look at the play, Dak never looked. They going to say that the coach told Dak to throw it away, when a starting quarterback can change a call. Gutless. Not being a true leader of the team. That is what I see.

Dak can’t throw a receiver open. He needed to anticipate Perk getting separation. He just said easy way out to throw it away. Not a winners mentality
How long before his Cult members will start saying he is a great leader, again? We already have the usual suspects trying to ease in that he actually played good in that game. Then you know from that it is going to go to, "Is Dak Elite?" and we will here that Dak is better than Aikman. I saw one thing: Aikman would have too much pride and leadership skills to to a throw away on third down with that much time on the clock, without even scanning the endzone. That was not smart quarterback play. Period.

Because the coach told him and he told us told them during the break before that to remember that there's no time outs Don't take a sack throw it away if it's not there early that's what he told him he literally came out I mean do you not listen to the commentary we've been talking about the press conference and the post game press conferences all those he literally came out and said that's my fault I told him to throw it away but the other details you're forgetting and people are now breaking down film That referee was gonna throw a flag and I'm 99% sure that was gonna happen had Prescott thrown the ball to George Pickens because George Pickens got open as usual by pushing off and sometimes you get away with it but when they broke down the film they saw the push off But he was not open when Prescott looked over there and he threw the ball away as instructed and as he should have..

But just in case you missed it Mr Flamma Jamma Go watch the video again The referee looked like he was posturing to throw a flag had Prescott thrown the ball to Pickens But all those things are still in play the ball could have got tipped maybe the corner was baiting George Pickens we seen that with Denver Broncos against Rams was a pick six against Matthew Stafford the guy looked open but he wasn't I mean there could have been a lot of things happen on that final throw they took the Safeway yes but people are acting like they know for sure George Pickens was open and that Prescott could have got on the ball and they would have won the game and you guys are all wrong because you're not really watching the film and listening to press conferences apparently because Schottenheimer immediately after the game said I told him to do that and even Prescott looked mad because he was getting those questions as if he screwed up and threw the ball away and that's not true at all...

Tell me I really like to complain a lot and you don't even have all the data Apparently you like to point fingers but all that crazy stuff that happened after they tied the game which was a bad kickoff bad coverage the completed catch and they still had a chance like everyone else a long field goal is one of the easier ones to block right how come they didn't block it we got one earlier in 7 seconds the Cowboys choked the game away yes but it was on the defense it was on special teams if you don't get that at this point I can't help you guys you really want to mess with Schottenheimer and Prescott because they're easy targets that's not why we lost the game we lost the game because the defensive special teams and I'll just keep saying that you don't want to read the rest too bad but the coach already came out and said it immediately after the game and if you watch Prescott's demeanor it was very close to him going off on Schottenheimer like we just saw Aaron Rodgers and Mike Mccarthy have a little thing at that game that they lost against the Browns They were about to have words I mean they were already saying it in the helmet..

Prescott literally doesn't usually blow up but I he had that whole thing like he was holding it in that's why we know it was true But watch these things maybe you understand but go watch the play in slow motion the whole play not just Prescott throwing the ball into the stands but watch George Pickens run his route Watch him push off to get open the ball was already gone by the time he turned around That was what he was instructed to do but you'll watch the posture of the referee it looked like he was going to grab his flag and then because he threw it away he never threw the flag..

Again lots and lots of things to breakdown the 7 seconds of a game but apparently you all have missed a lot of it.. And George Pickens is not having a great start to his year I don't want to hear how he's a decoy but he pushed offs a lot Uh he got that penalty on that long kick at the end of the Washington game we didn't need it but we can talk about Joey Porter and his flags how about George Pickens maybe those guys over there coming from Pittsburgh are not very well coached... LOL jk I mean they were all Tomlin's guys I thought he was a stickler for playing the game the right way but they sure do get a lot of penalties..

I don’t agree with the play call either. But some keep saying wide open when that’s not true

extend the play and he would be. But like I said, that play Dak was only looking in one direction the moment the ball got snapped into his hands, and that is where he threw it. No time run off the clock, which also hurt us as well.

I will not admit anything about Dak to that poster. Especially when he has on numerous occasions called this defense average. Criticism of Dak is warranted at times but ridiculous comments like that aren’t necessary to bash him even more than he needs to be.

I don’t disagree. But as BB just mentioned, and not many others have, there was probably a flag ready to be thrown for pushing off, so it wouldn’t have mattered. Also, after the push, the DB backed off since the ball was headed into the stands. Don’t really know what have happened but everyone assumes it was a sure TD. But still no excuse for not trying.
