Dak Top 5. Let's talk argument against it

One game doesn't move much, but Dak was in the Top 7 at the beginning of the year, and he hasn't done anything to lose his spot. Gain ground rather than lose any.
The post was "after today's game". I still argue that one game in 11 years doesn't move the needle at all. Especially when people think that Hurts SB performance doesn't count for anything. And dak's numbers sere pretty average today.

I don't think he's top 5 but here's a case for top 6 (which I still don't think he or Dak are.) These are all the current SB winning QBs currently in the league.
  • Patrick Mahomes (3-time winner: Super Bowl LIV, LVII, LVIII)
  • Aaron Rodgers (Super Bowl XLV)
  • Joe Flacco (Super Bowl XLVII)
  • Matthew Stafford (Super Bowl LVI)
  • Jalen Hurts (Super Bowl LIX)
  • Sam Darnold (Super Bowl LX) [1]
You can dismiss it but that's your opinion.
Flacco and Rodgers in top 6? Stay off the drugs.

This is the list:

Allen
Mahomes
Lamar

Burrow
stafford

Caleb Williams
Dak
lawrence
Purdy
Goff

Maye
Daniels
Herbert
Mayfield
Darnold

Dart
Stroud
Love
Nix
Young

Rodgers
Watson
Daniel Jones
Cousins
Geno Smith

shough
Young
Penix
Willis
Brissett

Murray
Ward
Who's list?

Someone said the same thing about us beating Washington. They said that Washington was a "bottom feeder". But Washington beat the reigning Superbowl champions last week with a backup quarterback.

So what should I take from that, a bottom feeder is better than a Superbowl team?
any given Sunday?

LOL these are average numbers according to you.

Also, the first comment basically sums it up. Offense is getting into shootouts every single week, which makes it even more impressive because Dak is taking on risky business every single week.

Wait what? Each unit works in unison. In the first half the offense didn't perform. In the second half they did. What is hard for you to understand?
sounded like you were making excuses for dak in the first half and crediting him for the second. If not I misunderstood.

Making excuses for Dak? Obviously you're triggered because the Cowboys won today. I specifically said, Dak didn't have time to throw on most of his drop backs and receivers weren't getting open. They actually showed these things on film.

But in the second half when he had time to throw and receivers were getting open, the offense played better. Which part of what I said isn't true.

Oh yeah, Dak did miss an wide open Cee Dee down the right side off of a double move that would have been a TD. That pissed me off. But like I said, the offense didn't play good in the first half and the offense played much better in the second half.

Some of yall seem a lil bitter this weekend after a win. Nitpicking after a solid team win from both the offense and defense? Thats weird.

Let me repeat, the post said after today's game.

I'm triggered? :muttley:

I heard what you said. The oline and the receivers sucked until they didn't. Dak was dreamy the entire time.

Well in the first half, he didn't have a clean pocket most of his drop backs and receivers weren't getting open. In the second half, the line blocked better and gave him time and the receivers started getting open.

Isn't it a coincidence that Dak played better when he has time? I don't know, maybe its just me. But for some reason in the sport of football, quarterbacks play better when their offensive line blocks better.

Its not rocket science.
Sounds like the offensive line is more important to success than the qb.

Top 5 offensive line.;)
