Twitter: Tyler Guyton continues to play excellent

Anderson Jr and Hunter was in Dak's face all game long. How is it Guyton didn't give up any pressures ?
They were moving Anderson around quite a bit to rush him from different spots. I remember one time when he looped around and came through the guard/center while Guyton picked up whoever ended up on the outside. He almost chose to come off that block and try to stop Anderson when he saw him get through, but stuck with the guy he was supposed to block.

Man, I've told 'em and told 'em, but they just don't understand physical skillsets and how they relate.
Im kind of intrigued by the idea of Smith at RT though. A real run game engine who can mirror edges in pass pro at a high level. Tyler Smith absolutely can OT at a high level. He is just best suited insidr

Im more intrigued by the idea of Lance Heard or Trevor Lauck at RT than I am moving all pro LG there.

Guyton has been far and away the most welcomed surprise of the season so far. I didn’t expect him to be playing this well. We desperately needed it too. Having 2 Ts that are liabilities would have been terrible.

Probably Spann-Ford would be better after two games than Steele… Which is telling only about Steele.

Oh Im not saying we should do it. Im just intrigued about what we could he at RT. He similar to Larry Allen in that he can pretty much play any position on the OL. I dont think he can play LT at a Pro Bowl level like Larry could, but every other postition he can

Not at OLT. Lacks the foot quickness to mirror speed rushers. No idea how people keep missing this.

Can someone translate this?
That's pretty sad you need translation I mean all the way back to the chat room days twitter abbreviations you can't figure this out I don't think Guyton is playing as great as people say just because he's very improved much improved i've been watching him get pushed back in daks lap at times, So he gets a B minus but he's not a Pro Bowler or an All Pro he's not even headed that direction from what I say yes maybe in the future but right now he's just turned himself into a solid left tackle versus a bust..

But on the other side 78 is terrible and with 87 next to him it's even worse I mean 87 is supposed to be helping and both of them are getting split or just beat it's just bad So that's the side we need to fix I hope I helped you out I mean you need something even more clear I mean do I need to use pictures and drawings Maybe some memes is that how you comprehend things I mean it feels like you need to be spoon fed what the Internet and social media posts are all about if you can't read between the lines or decipher things that's your comprehension level not mine I can read things upside down backwards or in jumbles it's not A big deal I don't need proper grammar and stuff hey you asked for it here you go..

No, it's sad that you post in this rude way.

He can absolutely play LT. He wouldn't be elite, but he would be league average at an absolute minimum. He could probably make the Pro Bowl

As far as a lack of foot quickness to mirror speed rushers. This is a fallacy that has been going around here too muck. I definitely didnt see that when I keyed on him last year at LT. I watch him shut Brian Burns and Khalil Mack. If you stonewall those guys consistently, you can play LT in this league. He isnt going to be as good as Guyton is playing, but he definitely has the traits to be a quality LT. Go watch him block Burns in the finale last year. This lack of foot quickness needs to get shut down

Disagree.

Thats fair. But thats definitely not what I saw when he played LT last year. As a rookie, maybe. Completely different players
As far as feet go, Tyler is a tweener. Not quite quick enough for OLT. Barely, yes, but not quite.

Tyler has been a holding penalty nightmare every time he's played OLT. Yes, even here. He is very talented and will be able to shut down pass rushers at times, but will have major issues w/ speed rushers.

Burns is stud, no doubt, but he lacks the lateral agility to beat players such as Tyler. In other words, it's a matchup issue for Burns.

IMO, Will Anderson would beat him like a drum. Hope we never have to find out!!!
