Props-Dak Prescott played perfect in the 2nd half

With 51 seconds left on the clock, at the 13yard line, they should have called a run play. Houston didn't have any TO's left, but we did. I want us to leave less then 24 seconds in that situation.
You wanna leave as little time on the clock as possible, but scoring the TD comes first. It gets harder to reach the endzone in long goal line situations, and you're always a hold or false start penalty away from having to settle for 3 like what happened in Brazil.

I got a question for you. Are you happy the Cowboys won? We put together a solid team win yesterday. I have yet to see you post anything positive about a good solid team win by the Cowboys yesterday.

Your posts kinda seem a little bitter. You weren't happy our team stepped up and got it done yesterday?
Answer: Yes, I'm happy we won. But I don't get schoolgirl giddy over barely squeaking by an 0-3 team in October.

Clarification: What you see and what I actually post are a reflection of YOUR bias, not mine. I posted plenty of positive, but UNLIKE YOU, I DON'T BUY JERRY'S ANNUAL "CHUM FOR SUCKERS" CAMPAIGN.

And by the way, since you're this vaunted "OBJECTIVE" fan, why don't I see you chastise people for the "Dak top 5?" threads or posts? It's because you are not unbiased...you imagine yourself some gatekeeper for fandom when you're really a saloon door.

The entire team played better in the 2nd half. They even got some pressure on Stroud in the second half which caused some poor throws.

I don't think anyone here got giddy, but it was a solid team win on the road. Period. There's a thread that was started before the game asking something about what would we take from a win against the Texans or something like that.

If you go in that thread, you will see that I said the only thing I wanna see some improvement from the defense and get a W. Thats all I would take from it. I made that statement before the game.

Yes their record was 0-3, but they have the same players that had a better record last season so the capabilities are still there. Many coaches and players say that its hard to win games in the NFL no matter what the record is, so I have no reason to doubt their opinions because of their experience in the league.

With that said, people downplayed our win against Washington too, then that same Washington team beat the reigning Superbowl champions a week later with a backup quarterback.

Solid team win by the Dallas Cowboys yesterday, nothing more, nothing less.

0-3 team is SOLID?

I'm done and I stopped reading. You are not objective and you are a waste of time to respond to at this point. SOLID? SO...which teams are at the bottom?!?

Dak was on fire! Good see him really take control and lead this team to a dub. Sucks he has to play perfect for this team to win with how the defense is playing.

I’m just baffled by the defense and their play. It’s not like they lack talent on that side of the ball. What are they doing? You can’t expect Dak to be perfect every game. It’s just not statistically possible.

You need to give the defense some time to gel. IMO, they do seem to get a tad better each game so far. Patience. They have another winless team to sharpen their skills coming up.

I absolutely agree, I guess I just expected a bit more and that’s my fault. I look at the talent and resources and I feel they should be further along. This secondary should not be leaking like a broken pipe. There is talent there. The LB have been heavily invested in, and Barham is getting better each game. I do think Winters is a bit overrated, and James is still a really young raw guy. We need O to comeback play next to Barham and turn it loose. It will go a long way IMO. The Dline has talent, why are they getting bullied and unable to get home? Eze needs to finish and start adding to his stat sheet and take over games. The talent is there, but he’s just not finishing.

Im very objective, but you're just angry that you can't place fraudulent blame on any players this week. This is the NFL. Players and coaches say that it's hard to win games in this league.

Like I said before, its a solid TEAM win from the Dallas Cowboys who had to go on the road and get it done. For the record, Nico Collins was just getting back from injury and he missed a couple of games.

So who knows if they would have been 0-3 if he played all of the games. This win wasn't a playoff win, but it was a win that this team needed. You can downplay it all you want, thats your business. 0-3 or 3-0, we can only play the teams on our schedule.

Its not our responsibility to worry about their record, we can only worry about ours. Like Herman Edwards said, "you play to win the game". We did that.

I was told that we beat a "bottom feeder" Commanders team.... that same bottom feeder team then beat the reigning Superbowl champion Seahawks with a backup quarterback a week later. So with that said....

Solid team win, now on to the Buccaneers.

His touchdown to reception ratio was very poor :laugh::laugh:
Actually they're playing more like the Cowboys 90s offense you do realize that Jay will you know Williams our running back has seven touchdowns right now They're not putting it in the end zone as much because they're doing what they ask they have five rushing touchdowns and now 2 receiving touchdowns by the running back is something you used to see from Emmett Smith He may not be dynamic but they are not audible in out of freaking pass plays as much as people say around here but people forget that's what Michael Irvin used to do that's what our receivers used to get the ball inside to 5 and then 22 did his thing..

How many NFC teams are putting together 4-quarter games right now. The 49ers and maybe the Seahawks. The Vikings are undefeated, but struggled to beat the Dolphins at home in the strength of 5 FGs.
That should be Dallas primary goal right now, namely, raise its level of play and fortitude to that what San Francisco and Seattle have achieved. And stay at that level. AND it will be so much the better if the 49ers and Seahawks start stumbling themselves down the road, lol.

I wasn’t actually being serious mind…

I gave Dak crap last week so gotta say he threw some bombs yesterday. Well done, keep it going.

The last throw might have been his best and it was tipped into CD's hands...still a great throw and read...but ill-advised. I also remember his first throw on that drive which was a meatball near-game-ending INT.

He almost gave it away into double coverage though......But yeah Dak had an incredible game.
Tom Brady once thought about throwing into double coverage, but being the GOAT he rethought it and threw a touchdown to another player.

Well for anybody else reading they need to understand that they have been scoring a lot more touchdowns through the running back That's a good thing it makes them a little bit more two dimensional than they have been..
Yeah you know me.. any time we can pound the rock in from down close that is always going to make me happy. Houston's d-line won the matchup in the trenches yesterday, some might say rather handily, and we still hung 34 on them. Let that sink in as we contemplate the return of Tyler Smith!
