Should we consider switching out Parker for Quinn if Commanders sack him?

No thanks, Rusty. He had his time here.

He can't be any worse than what we have. And at least we got to the playoffs when he was DC. And I'm not saying he'd take over as DC. I'm thinking we get him focusing on his specialty while Parker focuses on his. Everyone wins, and our defense should be instantly better.

The problem is assuming Quinn will become available. All the 1-3-1 Commanders need to do is win next week to be right back in the NFC East race.
I get that, but that Daniels injury probably left a sore taste in the minds of Washington. Then this happens? I'm not saying it'll be this week. But if Washington drops another game or two, it might trigger him being sent away. If he does, or if after the season they fire him, then him and Parker working together on our D could be what we need. I think Parker is a better secondary coach than Harris if given the pass rush. Quinn was always good at pass rush. I think it can work.

I do agree he can't be worse. But if this goes south, real bad, after the season I'd like to see a new head coach- preferably a defensive guy- and allow him to pick his staff.

Not to mention, last season was a disaster for Washington too. And I have a feeling he would be thrilled if Dallas asked him to come back. And Jerry would love it because nobody would be wanting Quinn at HC anytime soon. So, he gets a desperate Quinn again.

If the Commanders sack Quinn....... should we consider switching out Parker for him? Don't get me wrong, I am trying to be patient with Parker, but if we can bring back Quinn in some capacity, that might help our defence? He knew how to make our defence good.

Legit, if Washington sacks Quinn, the Cowboys may have won without playing today. If nothing else, him and Parker would make a great tag team. Quinn's specialty is dline. Parker is supposed to be good with secondary. Those two working together. We might be able to make our D much better quickly.
Quinn doesn't even run his own defensive scheme anymore.

They switched to a 3-4 base with DC Daronte Jones.

They've been good vs run but bad vs pass.

Which, again, maybe that's where Quinn comes in? He knows the players here. In any way, I think he's exactly what Jerry would want, and he knows most of the players still here. And we actually have a better dline than what he had with Quinnen Williams. I'd love to see what he'd do with Quinnen Williams.

Right, now imagine what he can do if he just has to focus on dline and pass rush, while Parker can handle the playcalling and secondary. All in all, Washington letting him go feeds him right into the hands of Jerry as a coach that Jerry likes, and we get to instantly have a chance to improve our D with someone that actually had it working for the most part here. Parker knows his job is on the line, so he wouldn't say no to Quinn coming in. Quinn would want to rebound, so he likely says yes. And Schotty gets Quinn back, which helps Schotty with the chemistry they can have back. It's an easy transition, and I think it works with the team. And giving Quinn Williams and Downs would be fun!

I guess one could say they have always spoken (and spelled) English the correct way, and the ignorant Americans we are went and screwed it up.

Exactly, and either way, its obvious what I'm saying haha. And besides, it probably does help us quickly improve that side of the ball for us, and it isn't something that would throw the rhythm off of the team as 1. We don't have any anyway and 2. He knows the players we have and they know him.

Of all the people we could hire, why would we want Dan Quinn? He couldn’t be successful with this group.

Nah.....bring me Brian Flores as HC and DC....let him do his job. Get out of the dammmm way Jerry

I'm all for this if needed, but, if Quinn gets let go by Washington, for the rest of the season (especially since we only have 4 draft picks), can't hurt to try to bring Quinn back in some capacity.

He helped get us into the playoffs all 3 years he was here. His specialty happens to be where we are weakest. That specially actually can help benefit our DC who's speciality is secondary. With a better pass rush, the secondary likely becomes more successful. I'm not saying he'd be DC the rest of this season. But him assisting Parker? We might have something, and it's an easy transition for him.

lol, thought we were in the PO 2 years ago. Wasn’t that the year we got blown out at home by GB being unprepared.

Im counting this year as we aren't sniffing the playoffs rn anyway. And yes, it was, but, again, at least we were IN the playoffs. And if he's just focusing on the pass rush (his specialty and our biggest weakness on D) and dline, then our DC has a better chance of success.
