Should we consider switching out Parker for Quinn if Commanders sack him?

If the Commanders sack Quinn....... should we consider switching out Parker for him? Don't get me wrong, I am trying to be patient with Parker, but if we can bring back Quinn in some capacity, that might help our defence? He knew how to make our defence good.

Legit, if Washington sacks Quinn, the Cowboys may have won without playing today. If nothing else, him and Parker would make a great tag team. Quinn's specialty is dline. Parker is supposed to be good with secondary. Those two working together. We might be able to make our D much better quickly.

Hell no!!! Remember the GB game that he tanked to get a jump on job interviews. Totally changed his secondary scheme....

Maybe, but now that nobody is going to bash the door down for him to be a HC anytime soon, that does give us the inside track to bring him back as a desperate coach again. Him as the dline coach/assistant to Parker could be helpful for both.

I’d fire Parker right now and pay out his contract to have Dan Quinn comeback

No we arent getting 2021-2023 defense…..but the defense will atleast be either average to slightly below average

Which is an improvement

Honestly, maybe we can keep both? Let Parker call the defence and focus on the secondary, and have Quinn focus on the dline and secondary and be the assistant. Might be a win win, and we know how good Quinn is as a DC.

I don't like his bend but don't break D he uses towards the end of games. I mentioned this before, but he cost us the game against the Dolphins a few years back with that crap. He let the Giants bend him into the endzone twice to tie it up.

I agree, but, at the same time, his defences were better than what we have. And in my view, Parker would still likely be DC. But Parker would focus on playcalling and secondary (his specialty with Fangio). Quinn would focus on pass rush and dline (his specialty). That might give us a chance to massively improve our defence.

I can't take you seriously when you don't know how to spell defenSe.

If he brings Voldemort with him.

I prefer to spell it the British way. But fine, I'll play it your way. If Quinn comes in to focus on the pass rush and dline, our defense (happy?) might actually be able to become good more quickly. It wouldn't be 2021-2022 good. But it probably works better than what we are doing now

Anyone who wouldn't rather have Quinn right now over Shotty is ubiquitously stupid, but it's a pipe dream..

Honestly, maybe we keep both Schotty and Parker for now, and get Quinn too. Nobody is going to be wanting Quinn for a HC anytime soon, and he'd probably return if Jerry asked since it's be an easy transition for him. Meanwhile, we have a much better dline than what he had here (aside from Parsons). Quinn would know how to invent a pass rush with what we have. That would feed Parker's secondary more takeaways. Meanwhile, we've actually been slowly improving on the run D. So, it actually probably works for everyone on the Cowboys, and we might actually be able to get our team on track. So, to me, it's a win win if we can get him back in some capacity.

We had Diggs and Parsons in their prime. Talent matters. We were declining. Even at the end of his tenure here. If we have some good impact players, yeah, he's pretty good. But I don't believe we have that right now.

Think of Buddy Ryan. With the Bears and Oilers he was king. He knows how to take full advantage of his talent. But there has to be talent. When he coached the Cardinals and tried his 46 defense, they fell flat.
