Talent does trump all. However, that doesn't mean coaching isn't important. The coach must be at the bare minimum viable, and Parker has shown nothing but the exact opposite of viable.

So, to answer, at present Parker is not an NFL quality DC.

Unfortunately, you're absolutely right about everything you posted. What sickens me is the fact that Jerry is going to waste the efforts of another top 3, top 4 offensive campaign by allowing this defense to be coached by the most inexperienced coaching.

Its really sad and this is going to hurt for a long time. Knowing that the only way we could have succeeded these last two years is if our offense could put up 40 points a game which isn't possible for any offense to do in the NFL.

Christian Parker is Schotty's Mike Nolan. He's got to go. Actually, I think from Schoty down should be fired at this point. Too many are not doing a well enough job to keep it.

Agreed I feel like we have an adequate amount of talent to be a bit better than we are.

No we are not a top 10 defense but we should at least be around 20 if the talent is being used properly

Beyond that I don't see any leader emerging on the defense
Looks like everybody just lines up and gets run over

Fired and replaced by who? His best cornerbacks are not playing. His best linebacker is a rookie. Overshown is out. He's minus a starting safety. You should be far more worried about Schottenheimer than Parker at this point. I never wanted Parker over Daronte Jones but he has excuses. Schottenheimer does not. He has a boatload of offensive talent that he's mismanaging. Ferguson should probably sit at this point.

Actually he is not getting paid by Jerry. Not too much anyway.
Depending what his contract is in SF.

If he is getting paid more, Jerry pays nothing. If he is getting paid less. Jerry pays the difference. If that is how it still works.
But he is not double dipping for his entire contract.
