Help me - what team do I root for?

The only money I spend on football is taking the scouts to Wake Forest college games.

My TV is free due to my wife's work in the telecommunication's industry, and lets just say sporting news isn't high on the list of channels LOL (unlike a guy I know who doesn't have a lot of money, but he can pretty much watch any college or NFL game he wants to for the pretty penny he pays for it).

I grew up on Tom and Roger and Jimmy and Troy. Late 90's my civilian career took off professionally, and honestly had no time for sports for a good 10 years because I was busy working and traveling.

How many fans do you know that "watches" a football game on their phone just to watch the score of the cowboys game, and uses this forum board for a "play by play" on the game? LOL

I consider myself a fan of the cowboys, but I'm far from being even remotely a fanatic. If that doesn't meet your expectations of being a fan, well, you know where you can kiss it because I really don't care.

If some other 60 plus year old guy is fed up with the Jones way of running things, I completely understand his point of view given they knew what the team once was.

For someone who doesn’t ask for permission or care about what others think you share a lot of information.

Being fed up with the jones is normal. We all are. That wasn’t the target of the criticism. Changing teams was.

As far the information sharing, we all walk different paths in our lives that help shape our views as grow older.

More important things in life than criticizing a fan fed up with the team IMO to the point where they're just tired of it.

Complete agree and I'd also like to point out that you have 2,248 more posts on a "football fan" forum than I do.

Is defending someone else's view point on a football forum any different than defending Dak or busting Jerry's GM capabilities on a football forum?

I sure do, never once have I said I don’t care about football or talking about the ups and downs of my team. That’s exactly why I’m on a public forum to discuss them.
Happily and openly hence said post count.

Not here beating my chest about not caring yet still posting and arguing.

Who is arguing and beating their chests?

I don't know if this thread was moved, but it's in the "NFL forum". Isn't that an open discussion on all football topics, including what team the OP should look to if he wants to dump the cowboys?

I only jumped into this thread because it seemed like a lot of members were giving the guy grief over his question, and I can understand his point of view.

No one is criticizing him for being fed up. We are all in the same boat.

My criticizing is based on the inability to simply pick a new favorite team, as if history doesn't exist.

I find it to be completely insincere. He won't though. Hes just over the top crying/venting. Watch and see, the OP isn't going anywhere. Its all a big production, and worthy of criticizing.

Found something new, I just thought you couldn't see the members join date on the forum, but if you click on the username, it will tell you the join date. I've only been here 7 years lol
