Why do you want to make the playoffs?

I keep seeing this recurring theme here about wanting to make the playoffs, and while I get it, I really dont.

Being on this forum I am convinced a lot of you dont watch other football teams play.

If Dallas squeaks into the playoffs, it will be to get embarrassed nationally. There is no amount of "growth" this defense can have this season that will help them against LA, SF, or a host of other NFC teams that run hard, and play to win.

So other than your own "fan" inside, which makes me question the word because any self respecting fan wouldnt want to just get there so they can be "right".

This team needs an exorcism and the only way that happens is if they lose, a lot, and the NFL pulls their primetime slots.

You want to know when Jerry will care? When that happens.

So please, stop cheering for other teams to lose, get hurt, just so the lowly Cowboys can sneak in to get curb stomped by SF, again.

Or please explain to me why you even want to get there. You know this is going to happen. It is not a what if.

I either want to compete for a Super Bowl or get to as close to the #1 pick as possible. I’m not ready to phone in the season yet, BUT if this continues I’ll be all for a crash and burn.

Exactly. Patriots had a terrible regular season last year. Terrible defense and offense, then suddenly caught fire just before the playoffs began. Totally backed into the playoffs just to surprise everyone

Yeah I have no interest in doing our trademark back into the playoffs to be immediately bounced. I want Jerry actually embarrassed, if that's even possible. And let's get high draft picks, but I guess not this year because we're all in!

Exactly, and same with coaches if needed. If we make the playoffs, at least that can be used to say "look how much better we got". And if we're competitive, it makes it easier to say to prospects "You can be the difference". Plus, also important because this is the Cowboys, it means "Let's keep not having drama in the offseason" lol

Defense. Milton Williams and Maye turned them around. They were also balanced, O being 4th passing and 6th rushing.
