Ok smart guy, tell me what I’m making up to fit a narrative? I even stated Dak played like crap most of the game…
I'm not that smart but I know we GENERALLY see what we want.

Anyone that thinks that pass was a perfect dime...is seeing what they want to see.

Catchable? Most certainly. Perfect? Nope.

Low expectations yield low results. Fergie appears to have a Fan Club with some of these posts or just another subjective opportunity to critique Dak.
Did you notice the poll?

I'm guessing 92% of this phantom "fan club" want him gone.

I will get the "no" votes started.... You seem to be saying you thought it was a catchable pass, I don't. In real time Ferg is twisting too much to his left because the pass was a bit behind him, not leading like it should have been thrown. Had he caught it it would have been a heck of a catch, though.

The argument I keep reading is Ferg got his hands on the ball - he should have caught it. To that I would say go run the same play yourself and twist your body the opposite direction you are running and try to make the catch. It's not as easy as some would say. This argument keeps coming from Dak lovers who refuse to hold him accountable for anything, so take that for what it's worth.
It should be an easy catch for an NFL tight end. Come on now.

You absolutely CANNOT see "his hands in front of him". He's running laterally and has to twist his body perpendicular to the lines to get to the ball. Last photo you can see the last process of trying to catch it...body turned hands BEHIND his head.

That ball must be thrown IN FRONT....wher he's GOING TO BE...not where he is. This is not curl or stop route.

And ABSOLUTLY has to catch that ball. I'd bench him.
despite the pictures, the hands are in front, even in the first picture you can see his hands are in front. he is reaching.
see what his helmet is. see where his hands are.

the ball was thrown to where he was to be...the very first picture showed the ball hit hand...the sequence shows exactly how the ball got there and it went right through his hand.

people expect perfection...the NFL game is not perfect. these players get paid well to make plays.

I would bench him and let him get out of his own head. fumbles, drops, penalties. he is just not playing well.

I wouldn't go that far. Say I want him going, but he should be demoted. He should now be the backup. He'll still get. Te two snaps which they run a lot of two tight end snap that I want BSF as the main guy to get a majority of the snaps. He's a better blocker, and out there where number 78 seems to still have his job, or at least it looks like it, you need a better blocker next to him protecting him because 78. In 87 next to each other are just. Hard to watch. They're that bad. They're being split and destroyed. It's like they're doing an overload on a regular defensive alignment. They just shift over to that side and they're just coming like stacked and coming from that side only...

Yes, when you look at the fumbling problem. And now this. It's not the first time. And then his bad blocking. He should be demoted...

They are NOT in front of his moving direction. They are "in front" of his chest because he had to turn his body.

His legs are running to the sideline, his chest is pointed at dak. Then he has to reach up. The catch HAS to be made but it's not the "easiest" for a big TE.

When I say "in front of him"...I'm talking about the direction he's running, not him having to turn his torso.

I don't "expect perfection"...but ...sometimes... it helps.

Weird we all see something just a little different..but...look at the poll. 92% blame Ferg, as it should be.

Two things CAN be true at the same time.

:hammer:

I 99% agree except for the vet minimum part. I do not think players should be in the league if all levels of difficulty catching a catchable pass is "way too hard for a guy." You are a receiver. What is your main job? High school. College. Pros. The story has always ended there for me.
NFL players, even college players, go through training sessions where they face one direction turn around quickly while a ball is already in the air and at different points and they learn to catch it immediately.

There's no question Ferguson should have caught it, but it does happen sometimes that they miss one and unfortunately that was a really bad time to have it happen to him.

The week before they won the game because he caught a low throw by Dak on 4th down and I remember thinking, the game would have been over had he dropped that pass.

So yes, he should have caught it and he's paid well enough to make sure he catches it, but there were a lot of bad plays in that game and as my old baseball coach used to say, "You don't lose a game on one play. That one play just finished what other plays started."

Unequivocally yes. He's not outstretched. He didn't have to make some crazy jump (he's pretty much in his natural run). It is NOT behind him. It is in a spot he can easily turn and get his hands in the proper position. And it was not "too fast". He's 15 yards away from Dak. There is a defender in the area.

There is no sane world in which this is not 100% on Ferguson.

Could the pass have been better? Sure, a little bit, but it is completely within his catch radius and does not require any crazy body maneuvering to get it.

Bad plays happen, even to the best.

Unfortunately, Ferg isn't the best, and they happen far too often when he's involved.

He twisted his body? Huh?

I mean he even has on the sticky gloves. Did someone lube them before he took the field? If not, the gloves should have caught the ball with or without any help from Ferg.

Yep, Ferguson should have caught that ball.....it could have been placed lower but still should have caught it. He may have expected to take a shot in the ribs and so his full focus wasn't on the ball. Just his health But oh well, losers find a way to lose.

All I saw is that an NFL starting TE had the ball hit him in his hands for the second time in the game and he didn’t make the play. PERIOD!!!!! Just like I said Dak Prescott played like crap most of that game. Didn’t pick or choose one over the other - both needed to do better. But, on THAT play, Jake Ferguson crapped the bed…as he’s been doing for most of the year.
