Pretty sound logic if you ask me. I think Dallas could be the team to beat as long as the line plays and the defense creates turnovers.

Far to early. Parity/injuries have changed the prediction game too much.

I don't understand why the Cowboys wouldn't be considered a favorite. We were completely banged up last year and were in the divisional title game (so to speak) to end the season.

Philly is a mystery, the Giants don't look too hot, and Washington didn't do a lot to improve but I would probably include them to be a favorite.

Superbowl favorite? No. Divisional favorite? Absolutely.

Any time a division consists of only 4 teams, any team should be considered a 'threat' to play well within the division.

The way the NFC East is I think there are 4 teams all with a real chance of winning it. I think the Cowboys have as much of a shot as any of them.

I think saying that there are 4 teams who could lose it is more accurate. The way these teams lose games is unreal sometimes.

I never said the Cowboys were THE favorite. I said that they were 'A' favorite along with Washington.

Furthermore, the article is a lousy concept. Just because a team wins a division doesn't mean that they have to be 'unseated' so to speak. This isn't boxing. By the articles measure, all of the previous years winners are inherently favorites which is ridiculous (especially in the NFCE where parity is high we haven't had a consecutive winner the last 8 seasons).

But it's all a moot point because I consider both teams to be favorites, or 'threats' to the title. All semantics.

Anything can happen in the NFC East, but I'll say this I expect the Cowboys to win the division and would be really disappointed if they didn't. We had the best team last year and have been building better then the other 3 teams.

True...I read "the favorite", not "a favorite".

Actually, the article never said who the favorites to win the division were this upcoming season.

It was an "If" article all the way...IF the trend holds true another year and few division winners repeat, and IF we were to pick the favorite team from the remaining 3 teams in each division...
