FEATURED Morning Pops!

Morning, Pops, Jobber and the world! Have a blessed day and enjoy the leisure. My team shot 61 yesterday, one stroke behind the "low gross" winners. We won the "low net" score, though.

congrats. Pretty dinkum good! You have a blessed day as well.

Morning Pop's, Kristie, leon, Jobb, JB, ABQ, and all others up this beautiful Sunday morning. Great job, Leon.
What was y'alls prize for finishing there?
More rain last night and more coming today, it seems. Love the rain, but it's sure playing havoc with both our community garden and my golf game.

Re: The rain in the Southeast. I find the following interesting.
" Soil moisture over the U.S. on July 8, 2013, ranked as a percentage of the greatest moisture levels on record for the date. Large areas of the Southeast U.S. are near the wettest levels ever observed, above the 99th percentile in soil moisture. Image credit: NOAA/CPC.
Southeast U.S. vulnerable to flooding
If Chantal or its remnants brings heavy rains to the Southeast U.S. early next week, as some of the current track models are predicting, the storm could cause major damaging flooding. The soils in the Southeast are saturated and many rivers are already in flood, due to last week's extreme jet stream pattern that set up a fire hose of tropical moisture that streamed inland from the Florida Panhandle through Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Soils over large areas of the Southeast U.S. are near the wettest levels ever observed for this time of year--above the 99th percentile in recorded history. It's remarkable that most of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina were in moderate or greater drought at the beginning of the year. Portions of Central Georgia were in exceptional drought--the most extreme category of drought."

Yeah we've been on the border of the drought for a few and now its wet. I haven't seen flooding since I was a kid.

Morning, Pops. And a happy Monday morning to everyone. I hope you all have a great day. Ologan, we each won $35 credit at the pro shop. Not much, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Morning Pop's, Leon,JB, Jobb, and anyone who follows on this rainy Monday! You're right, Leon.....a $35 GC to the pro shop is certainly better than a poke in the eye. In most pro shops (all?) that would probably be a down payment on one of them there "high dollar" shirts with their logo on it! I'm a sucker for them, too!
The real payoff is the fun of playing the scramble, but you know that. Stay safe!

Morning Pop, Leon, JB, Phil, ABQ, ologan and all. Off to see the Wizard and will be out of town for a few days to a week or more. Hold the fort down people. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning, Cbz and all Zoners. It's raining steadily here today, but it's supposed to warm up over the next few days. There's fresh snow in the Rockies, so that means more snow pack to melt in the next couple of months. Bob, I'd love to send some of this your way. Have a good day folks.:D

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas.

Man, what a relief! We got a little rain yesterday and the temps have come down about 20 degrees. Enjoy it while we can. A reprieve from 100+ temps.

Hope everybody is having a great monday morning!

Morning Pop's, Leon, and the rank and file. Looks like this will be our first sunny day in a long, long time. Hope it doesn't scorch the tomatoes.
Will hopefully tee it up Friday morning, Leon. Back to the land of abundant bogeys, occasional pars, and the rare birdie species. Stay safe, all!

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. Chilly morning at 41 when I woke up, but it's going to hit 80 today, so I'll take it. I find it easier to sleep when it's cool. Enjoy the day and make the most of it.:D

Afternoon Pops, Fellas.

Second straight day of overcast weather and lower temps. I feel like I'm cheating on a test or something. Can't believe we are getting this kind of reprieve in Mid July!

Everybody, have a great rest of the day!

Morning Pop's, ABQ, and followers. Enjoy every minute of it, ABQ. Take the money saved on the cooling bill and go buy yourself something; You deserve it! In other words, enjoy it while you can......feared it won't last!
