I think it is fair to point out that predicting the Cowboys won't win the Super Bowl when the Vegas odds are 30-1 against it doesn't necessarily make one a seer if they come up short.

Romo has the highest rated game in a loss in NFL history. 2011 vs Giants. The defense threw that game away plus dumb penalties. But all people remember is an incomplete pass the WR failed on.

At that point I realized it's always gonna be Romo 's fault. I know for a fact there are some supposed cowboys fans who root for him to fail because they're so invested in predicting he will never win the big one. I feel sorry for those types. Hate is blinding

There's a few consistent Romo criticizers here that do nothing but root for Romo to look bad. Even if it's just 1 play out of 20 they're happy because they know they can come here and spew their hate.

Hey did anyone know, that even players like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees overthrow receivers. Or are they like gods in your eyes? I watched some games last year when Tom Brady had a lot of bad overthrows. **** happens.

Brady, Brees and Peyton Manning have all won a number of playoff games and SB's. They've all gotten over the hump and reached the pinnacle and Romo has yet to. They have a number of skins on the wall and will all be first ballot Hall of Famers 5 years after they retire. When you've accomplished what they have they're going to get a pass on some bad games and some bad throws.

Classic example of someone who consistently prays for Romo to screw up so he/she can come here and "make a point". LOL.

To be honest, I don't think it's the fact that it was a miss on a single pass out of a relatively strong performance. What I think the issue is, is most of us just remember all the little mistakes that have kept this team behind in one way or another. No, they're not all Romo, but a set of them have been because of him. He's now paid like a SB winning QB and I don't like seeing easy throws like that being overthrown.

It's not the little mistakes most remember it's the big mistakes in elimination games that have marred Romo's career. It's the bobbled snap in Seattle in the 06 playoffs and the int vs Washington in the final minutes in week 17 last season with the division title and playoff birth on the line. These big mistakes in make or break games have created a stigma that he continues to reinforce.

So should a QB with a very high career completion % and one of the best passer ratings ever. Overthrowing a receiver happens to all if them but the good ones are usually accurate. Romo is usually very accurate hence his high completion rate.

When you QB for a team with zero margin for error, every mistake is big.

I admit to an "agenda". I like Romo and think he's a very good QB. I love the Dallas Cowboys. Hence I root for Romo to succeed and appreciate all his effort and skill to help us win.

Seems like a normal agenda to me but maybe I'm crazy

Yea, shame on me for rooting for the QB of the Dallas Cowboys to do well vs. the likes of you who root for him to fail.

Provide a post where I'm rooting against Romo? I can't imagine anyone reading that into my comments.

Every mistake isn't big all QB's make mistakes it's the timing of the mistake and the magnitude of the game it occurs in that make it big.

We all know how you feel about Romo. A majority of your posts on the subject is ample proof. Bottom line is that he's the starting QB of the Cowboys with a 100 million dollar contract. So I guess he must be making a few plays.

I agree, also Tedy Bruschi is a stud and Ware sucks. We'll never get over the hump with Ware. As for QB, wish we had Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer type of QB, those guy were clutch!

A) Tom Brady - 3 Super Bowl wins
B) Peyton Manning - 1 Super Bowl win
C) Drew Brees - 1 Super Bowl win
D) Tony Romo - 1 Playoff win

Which one is not like the others?

And Romo is paid relatively the same as each of them.

That only proves the point that it is a stupid criticism, because even the best of the best do the same thing. Why people keep throwing that out there like it is a counter argument is beyond me. Logic really does escape some (most?) people.

QB's are judged by playoff wins and championships. Romo is held to the same standards that every starting QB in the NFL is held to. What's expected of him is expected of all 32 starting QB's and that's to lead their teams to a championship. With the great regular season numbers he consistently produces every year a lot is expected of him in the games that matter most and he hasn't delivered. His $108 million contract is going to put even more scrutiny on him. This isn't hating on Romo or saying he's not a good QB it's pointing out the facts. His regular season performances vs his elimination game performances have been Jekyll and Hyde like and it's created a stigma that only a championship will help change.

Regardless of Romo's high completion percentage and top 5 career passer rating he'll never be thought of in the same regards as Brady, Brees, Peyton Manning and several other current QB's due to the many skins they have on their wall. It's unfortunate (not you) that some FANS try and spin that some of us hate Romo and are pulling against him because we point out the facts that have created such a negative perception of him. You explain why Brady, Brees and Manning aren't under the scrutiny Romo is and that gets spun into hating Romo and pulling against him.

You claim I hate Romo and pull against him so you don't know how I feel about him.

Your words speak loud. You're far from being alone in that category. Just goes to show the powerful influence the national media has.

My words are loud and clear but some choose to put their own spin on them.
