I'm just curious what Cowboys' 2013 draft pick you think has the highest chance of being considered a bust on down the road? Who in this current draft class will be the next lightening rod we are cussing and discussing two or three years from now?

Gotta go Escobar for bust.

If by his 3rd year, he's not catching 50+ passes for 600+ yards, there will be a lot of people on here calling Escobar a bust. Heck, even if he does put up those numbers, they will still call him a bust.

With Witten still having a number of good years left and with the team already having 2 TE's taken in the 2nd round go bust since 06 Escobar clearly has the highest chance of being a bust. He's going to have to produce some pretty good numbers in the passing game or he'll end up another 2nd round flop.

Has to be Escobar. The term bust is usually for players taken in the 1-2 rounds.

Is everyone here confident T Will will pan out to be a viable replacement for Miles then?

The Cowboys weren't thinking Austin's replacement when they drafted him they were thinking a solid 3rd receiver.

Even not taking that into account, the answer would be Escobar to me. He's a project for a 2nd round pick. The only other pick in the class with the same label is Wilcox and I like his chances more.

You got that right. If a player after the 2nd round doesn't pan out they simply didn't pan out. If a player in the first or second round doesn't pan out they're a bust.

Not even one regular season snap into his rookie year and you are all calling Escobar a bust. Really? Do y'all just want to see players fail so you can gripe about Jerry Jones and the coaching staff?

Not calling him a bust. Just saying he has the highest chance of being a bust.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Escobar turns into a good TE?

It's amazing the hate he gets for being a rookie. Being behind Witten ain't easy I guess.

That's the mindset of some fans.

Even previous busts like Fasano and Bennett did not look as ineffective by this point.

You honestly think he is reviled because he is following Jason Witten?

Percentages were mentioned in the thread title, but don't let that stop you from defending this fair maiden's honor.
