Great news. Gives us more stability on the line. He is a veteran, so he'll help the younger guys develop.

@LRiddickESPN: @bushguss veteran leadership/locker room presence. Will need time to get into football shape. Think Dallas OL has enough without him.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I can't wait to see the effect that playing next to Brian Waters has on Doug Free

I am more eager to see his impact on the leadership of the OL as a whole. He carries quite a bit of credibility and having a proven successful veteran will be something this line has not seen for a while. A six time Pro Bowler is obviously doing something right. I think he will rub off some on Frederick, who can be a great one if he continues to work on his craft.

Ok so was Parnell not looking good? Or was Free having an issue? That's what I want to know.

What's wrong with you? You're obsessed with this non-issue. Yes, Parnell was not looking good. Yes, RG is not Free's best position. It is both, why does it have to be one or the other? It's a domino effect, Free moves back to his natural position and Parnell becomes a backup again, which is as it should be.

Actually it is hard to understand. I have posed very good questions. I don't get how you can say its just that simple. We have no idea what we are getting. Everyone is banking that he is the guy who played with the pats in 2011. I'm not so sure that's what we are getting. So I'm not going to do cartwheels over a 36 year old OG

Do you really think there is that much difference between being 34 and 36 years old? Especially for an offensive lineman? I'm willing to bet you are quite young because no one who has actually turned 36 would be harping on this so much. Dude has "old man strength" now. LOL.

Injury will be his biggest challenge. Like it or not, the older you get the more you are susceptible to injuries -- hip, knee and shoulder are the worst. And yes, I am over 36.

Like some others I have concerns about the readiness and condition of Waters. Don't get me wrong I like this deal , Dallas is not spending big money on him with a 1.5 mill contract that can become 3 mill if he reaches incentives they put in place. If he can come close to his Pro Bowl level then this team has a legit chance of competing for a championship.

Injury, perhaps. But certainly not performance. Which is what CS88 was questioning.

That's sad, but funny. Walter Jr. probably knows more about football than Eatman.

My age is irrelevant. Also having been in the health industry for as long as I have I understand strength. You missed the point all you want to do is attack. Want a cookie? Harping? Lol ok bud

Excuse me? What's wrong with me? Oh I forgot all is well in Cowboy land since they signed a guy who hasn't played since 2011. Give me a break. Do you have troll threads to call people out who have questions? Seems to be your MO. Because every time you quote my posts all you do is attack since my opinion differs from you. Get a grip

1. Waters will miss out on paying $250,000 MOL in Mass income taxes.

2. He started at NE with no time spent in camp, what will it be here? The assumption being that he knows what to do to be ready.

I did not "attack" you, Mr. Sensitive. I simply asked what was wrong with you.

The premise that something is wrong is an attack.

So if I happen upon someone in the park who is bent over and gasping for air and ask them "what's wrong with you?" it constitutes an attack? His obsession with figuring out if it was Free or Parnell who was under performing was the equivalent of someone in the park, bent over and gasping for air. I only meant to make sure he wasn't "gasping for air" mentally. I meant to help.
