Bruno Mars may have been locked out of heaven, but it's looking like he'll have a ticket to the Super Bowl.

The crooner is expected to be tapped to perform at the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVIII next February, according to two people with knowledge of the matter. An announcement could come as early as this Sunday.

==========

Squeeeeeeeeee. I love Bruno Mars so much. I do not think there is a better male vocalist out there. Plus, he always puts on awesome performances and I love his music. Hope it happens.

I think hes great choice.

He is current and CAN SING...LIVE. Great showmanship too.

Kristie, where are you? Back me up, girl!

He's about as it gets for mainstream, young singer. He's talented so it's a good pick. I was sort of expecting a hip hop one (they haven't had one for the genre in quite some time, if ever) with Jay Z, Kanye West or Drake.

He puts on a show, but he can't sing to me. His biggest selling point is that he has a real band and doesn't sing to a track.

I agree about his band. They are full of awesome. He can't sing?? or you just don't like his singing? I think hes the best male voice out there today.

I have never ever been a fan of Drake's music, but that track my station has been playing "Hold on we're going home" is my new jam. But, could he pull of a halftime show with his other stuff?? I dont know. JayZ would be fire. Timberlake minus Janet Jackson would be cool too. Yuck to Kanye.

Hip hop isn't what it use to be.

Both. He can't sing and I don't like his singing... lol

The fact you like Drake's singing tells me we'll NEVER agree on this. Drake is an awesome rapper, but terrible singer. Drake should never, ever, sing... and yet, he's got people fooled that he can actually sing. Seriously, he's horrible. Everytime that daggone song comes on, I turn the station.

I agree. I personally don't care for his voice. I'd

I doubt you'll ever see Kanye performing at a Super Bowl. He's a headache I'm sure they don't want to mess with
