When and If Garrett gets fired I nominate David Shaw (Stanford HC) for HC

And third his teams are hard nosed.. good tacklers and he knows how to play the spread, run option and hurry up offenses...

If it is any consolation to you, I think we are much closer to "when" than "if" we fire Garrett. And that is a good thing. The league is changing very rapidly and we need someone who can adapt and get the most out of what we have.

I think he would be a great HC for somebody in the NFL.

No, me either. I think he'll make somebody a fantastic coach if and when he decides to go to the pros. Another guy I keep coming back to is Ken Norton Jr. He's had a really nice football career and I could see him doing more with it.

He'd be an obvious candidate. Our HC isn't going anywhere, but if he did, Shaw would be near the top of my list of quality replacements.

and fyi shaw has actually coached longer in the nfl than opie.

Good resume. NFL experience combined with college Head Coaching experience is an optimal background.

I don't think Garrett gets fired under any circumstance this year. Callahan on the other hand, could be in trouble.
