First of all he had nine-year run as an NFL assistant coach with stints for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and Baltimore Ravens.. Second he was hand chosen by Jim Harbaugh.. And third his teams are hard nosed.. good tacklers and he knows how to play the spread, run option and hurry up offenses...

Put me down as another supporter.
Sound, fundamental football. Very balanced offense.
Only thing we need to find out is if he is a good motivator and can handle professional athletes.

doubt we could get him. why would he want to leave one of the most prestigious, well recruiting programs in the country? then come to this mess we have in Dallas..

Working under a singular president, gm, CEO, owner, co-coach, and aspiring player in Jerry Jones

If it is any consolation to you, I think we are much closer to "when" than "if" we fire Garrett. And that is a good thing. The league is changing very rapidly and we need someone who can adapt and get the most out of what we have.

I talked him up in the Commanders-Vikings game thread last night. I like what he would bring to the table.

I think he would be a great HC for somebody in the NFL.

Do we really want another Ivy League (of the West) person in here? I mean, aren't they soft or something.

I can't imagine anyone would be against him.

No, me either. I think he'll make somebody a fantastic coach if and when he decides to go to the pros. Another guy I keep coming back to is Ken Norton Jr. He's had a really nice football career and I could see him doing more with it.

What the....? Are you serious? What has he been doing lately that I'm not aware of?

I can imagine. Give the thread a little time.

He'd be an obvious candidate. Our HC isn't going anywhere, but if he did, Shaw would be near the top of my list of quality replacements.

If Opie chokes this division away, the guy at Stanford would be at the top of my list as well.

Good resume. NFL experience combined with college Head Coaching experience is an optimal background.

I don't think Garrett gets fired under any circumstance this year. Callahan on the other hand, could be in trouble.
