Statistically Romo is better. Romo can't convert third downs enough and keep the offense on the field. This season is doomed. Try Orton. I bet our team will do better; not great but better.

You're going to take alot of heat.. but i found myself thinking this at a certain point last season, and i honestly do believe we'd move the ball more effetively with Orton starting right now.

I know people say you never bench your QB for poor play, but i think whatever helps you win the most, that's what needs to be done.. and right now, whether its his fault or not, Romo just isn't getting it done with this offense.

Orton was terrible in preseason. At times Tanney out played Orton. Sorry but I disagree, Romo is to blame but so is the entire team.

On the other hand do you think Romo has lost the locker room, maybe the players not named Witten have no interest in Romo at QB? Kitna did have the offense moving and the team responded

I put Orton in just to isolate the problem. I want to see how much of a drop-off there is from Romo to Orton... If we're moving the ball down the field with little problems with Orton in, then It's Romo. If the offense stinks just as much, It's Garrett and we do our 2 TD and a bunch of field goals routines, it's Garrett.

The preseason is the preseason for a reason.. at times, i think Orton is just what this team needs at QB. An Alex Smith type, a guy who will just drive the bus and take what the defense gives him all the way down the field. Hit whoever is open and just keep plugging away. Honestly, he couldn't do much worse than what we're seeing now.

Preseason is preseason but he was missing wide open guys. He isn't aAlex

I don't think Orton is the answer long term by any means, but Romo has had too many chances. Romo succeeds because he gets hot and accurate. But Romo is inconsistent and lately he has gotten worse. The play calling has been lousy too, so it is not all Romo's fault. When things don't work, you have to change something. I think the dynamic improves with Orton.

He isn't a Alex Smith guy, out bus driver. He threw multiple INTs

Im sorry, but you're silly if you're going to look at one preseason over his entire career and think because he struggled a bit he's not the player he used to be.

If that is what you're saying.. i honestly don't know because im having trouble translating your posts to English.

Alex Smith can be a bus driver when he's been on the 49ers and Chiefs and they play great defense. With the state of our defense we'd be asking Orton to be a bus driver on a NASCAR track.

Romo is missing wide open guys in the regular season.. should we bring Tanney back to start then i guess?
Maybe you didn't read a thread I started last week, put I mentioned that Romo locks into a guy (Witten) and only throws his way but fails to get the ball to other players (Dez). I also mentioned Garrett and bring in someone else and said that Romo and Garrett might make it some where else but not here. I said many things and it want because we lost just something I noticed the past years with then 2.

I'm not the biggest Romo fan in the world, but the notion that Orton is a better option is ri-damn-diculous.

Im a Romo fan, but when you're playing poorly and missing wide open guys.. something has to give.

You don't just stick with the norm because its the norm.

Is Romo the more talented QB? No doubt in the world.

Is he getting the job done right now? Absolutely not.

Like i said, Orton couldn't do much worse than we are doing now.

..and if he does, than you put Romo back in.

I'm on my phone so not writing the words correctly...anyways...

It's not one preseason and if you think Orton is going to do better then Romo then sir your the silly one

Yea because that does work. Foles gets benched, Vick gets benched now Foles is breaking records.

I realize that's the popular opinion.. but i don't think i'm wrong.

10-24, 120 yards, 0-9 3rd downs.. can't do much worse, fellas.
