Just heard Troy on his weekly spot on WFAN in NY. Really nothing we probably didnt already know...but his Dallas points.

Asked if he thinks Dallas comes out of the bye week in better shape to play NYG:
Not really. I think they are going to be extremely short handed on defense and the team as whole lacks confidence.

Cowboys defense vs NYG:
Its clear this defense struggles mightily against accomplished QBs and he cant see how this stops any time soon.

overall problems:
People keep talking about how bad the defense is with all the injuries. But the offense is what really concerns me. People just look at their points scored and conclude that the offense is not the problem. But take out special teams or defensive scores and take out the very short fields that the offense was set-up with because of great special teams returns or the defense forcing a turnover...and you have an offense that is concerning. They just cant get it going and cannot sustain drives on a consistent basis.

Non-Dallas talk:
I joined this in the middle but he was obviously asked about the Eagles Nick Foles.
Aikman Said: you look at his stats with all the TD pases and you would think he has been great. But a lot of these TD passes were very good plays made by their WRs. So I think he has been good, but not as good as you would think based just on stats.

Forgot one thing...He also said the lack of big plays from the offense surprises him.

Well, Aikman did not say anything that we already know. Now, what he needs to do is suggest who is the problem or how it can be fixed, not what is the problem. But, he is media, so...

well I do think there is a chunk of the fan base that doesnt think the offense is an issue. But overall, yeah he didnt say that much...which is why I stated that at the top...in case anyone that is real busy didnt want to waste their time reading it.

Still won't come out and say the organization is a mess and Jerry should resign. Thanks a bunch Troy!

Dog, the whole team is fundamentally wrong!

And, without knowing the dynamic at Valley Ranch, from the top on down, all I can ascribe to is injuries because that is all I really know at this point. Like many posters, I can complain about the offense and defense, but to be honest? I have no friggen clue, and I don't think the coaches know either.

All, I can do is just smile.

So in no way can anyone express that Romo is having a flat second half of the season without your label, mi amigo?

Has the second half of the season started? Usually I find that the second half of the season starts with the Thanksgiving game. I know you are hurting, but there is more football to be played.

But, for you and your kind to just lay the blame on one player is....just lazy!

Is that right. I lay blame on one player?

Lazy is the right verb here, but it applies to you. I have been pretty vocal both at suggesting Romo is not the core problem and the lines are where the team falls down.

Perhaps you should read some of those posts before making a broad brush comment about what I think.

But having said that, I am not a sycophant that dances around times when Romo is not as sharp or - Heaven forbid - does something that directly results in a game being lost.

Fact is, I believe I am more of an even keeled fan than you, sir, who rushes to Romo's defense even when there is no way you can cover a gaff of his, no matter how rare, while piling onto any other player, squad, or coach, changing the facts to fit your agenda.

Agenda. Good night....

That word is always thrown around.

If you think I have an agenda, go take a look in the mirror.

If you think I have an agenda....then you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Carry on with you bad self.

Nice, im nother Romo hate troll! Get lost with that.

This is about the whole team!

Now 5. Ive been a big Romo fan this whole time and Im certainly not pinning all the teams woes on him alone but it does aggravate me that folks dont want to hear anything about Romo struggling even though its clear as day.

Which basically foils the myth that Romo has been as good as his numbers might otherwise suggest.

Just because our offense hasn't been as good as it should be doesn't exactly fall on Romo, it goes deeper then that, but I understand that it's hard for some to look past the surface. With that logic, you're also going to blame Sean Lee and Jason Hatcher for our piss poor defense, right?

You ALWAYS rush to defend Romo and label the guy who says anything about him but that he is the savior of this franchise.

I think if you actually took the time to look, you will see I have written Hostile length diatribes on this team lately and in almost every instance, I have talked about the defensive line, the offensive line, Garrett, play calling, injuries, and as an after thought Romo.

I absolved him, for the most part, but have mentioned the slump he seems to be in.

Do your homework before you toss around your labels.

I think, therefore I am....I believe the great grid-ironer Rene Descartes said that once.

That fair, dog...

What bothers me about these Romo threads is because it seems that the whole teams woes are blamed on him.

I see the same things as you do about the offense.

Really...where do I read these lengthy diatribes?
