Just heard Troy on his weekly spot on WFAN in NY. Really nothing we probably didnt already know...but his Dallas points.
Asked if he thinks Dallas comes out of the bye week in better shape to play NYG:
Not really. I think they are going to be extremely short handed on defense and the team as whole lacks confidence.
Cowboys defense vs NYG:
Its clear this defense struggles mightily against accomplished QBs and he cant see how this stops any time soon.
overall problems:
People keep talking about how bad the defense is with all the injuries. But the offense is what really concerns me. People just look at their points scored and conclude that the offense is not the problem. But take out special teams or defensive scores and take out the very short fields that the offense was set-up with because of great special teams returns or the defense forcing a turnover...and you have an offense that is concerning. They just cant get it going and cannot sustain drives on a consistent basis.
Non-Dallas talk:
I joined this in the middle but he was obviously asked about the Eagles Nick Foles.
Aikman Said: you look at his stats with all the TD pases and you would think he has been great. But a lot of these TD passes were very good plays made by their WRs. So I think he has been good, but not as good as you would think based just on stats.
