Lets talk about the Raiders

Have watched a few of their games - good buddy is Raiders fan - we will be having a few friendly wagers on this game as we do turkey and liquid libations : )
my take is, rookie QB and tough RB. What is our weekness ? Run defence - this will be no walk-over !
Would feel alot better if Lee was playing. That being said, we should win fairly convincingly if we can shut down their rush attack ! 27 - 17 sounds about right ...

When was the last time we followed up a big win with another win?

I see this as a frustrating game. We will give up another 100+ yard game to a back. Romo will have to fight drops, inconsistent line play, and lack of a running game. It won't be easy.

If Dallas plays with focus they win by two td's. I'm going to stay optimistic and believe they will. Oakland doesn't have the firepower to stay with Cowboys offensively.

Lol I agree. On paper we are much better than the raiders with Matt McGloin starting. We cant cant stink up it like they can. This should be a good Thanksgiving!

Agreed, no game will be easy for us! The Raiders have a lot of speed and athleticism at the receiver position, I expect them to give us hell all game.

This is the kind of game where if it's played on Sunday at 1PM on CBS and most of the country doesnt see it, its probably 35-20 Dallas. But as a prime time game, Oakland is gonna come out thinking they're in the Super Bowl. This is their second and final national game for the year. They played Denver earlier on Monday Night. I dont believe any of their Sunday 4PM games have been televised nationally. All regional games.

Good news for those that dont like Joe Buck/ Aikman. This will be a CBS game so probably Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

I was hoping to see Darren "Chicken Legs" McFadden play. Still remember many of the Cowboys Fans clamoring for Jerry to move up and draft him. What a mistake that would have been.

This game should...SHOULD be a lot like the Rams game

But as we all know with this team you can never expect consistency.

I think we'll win, they have a losing record after all, but it will be frustrating due to sloppy play coming off a short week or rest and preparation.

No we're not. How do you come up with this? We're in 1st place in our division with an over .500 record. There must be a lot of bad teams outside of about 5 teams in the NFL. I would agree we aren't a very good team but a bad team, no way.

I'm not over confident but this is usually the time of year that the Cowboys peak and we seem to be headed on the same path as usual.

I imagine that we beat the breaks off of the Raiders. Then we will be 50/50 the rest of the season and most likely lose to Philly to get in the playoffs.

Thanksgiving Day game so of course I will be there, I have been to every Thanksgiving Day game this franchise has played in. As for the Raiders yes this is a game we should win but I just do not see this as a gimme. Raiders running game is very good and the key for them will be to stay in manageable downs and distance as to not put the load on Matt McGloin. As I mentioned earlier while he may be a rookie I was impressed with his play vs Houston. He dealt with the pressure and never seem to panic he was not making the big mistakes you see many rookies make as heavy pressure was coming. He knew when to throw it away or just take the sack but always protected the ball.

It is going to be critical for the Cowboys to get him out of that comfort zone and in my view you do it by stopping the Raiders run game and keeping him in longer yardage situation.

Defensively former Cowboy Kevin Burnett has really started playing quality ball in Oakland.

While us fans can take this game lightly the Cowboys cannot afford to this Raider team has to decent talent capable of putting up a good fight.
